small-ish room with a nice patio when the weather permits. the cocktail menu is accessible, but diverse and well-made. the bartenders are welcoming and seem quite knowledgeable. draft list heavily features local breweries, and makes an effort to feature a number of different styles. extensive back bar with plenty of interesting whiskeys and cocktail modifiers.
don’t just come thirsty, though. the burgers are incredible. smash patties as wide as tea saucers covered in cheese, sauce, and grilled onions. don’t modify it, you do not have to, it’s perfect as is. don’t like burgers? well maybe don’t come hungry then. small menu done right, just a couple burger options, fries, and cheese curds. maybe the best burger in the city tho?
in all, a wonderful neighborhood bar to grab a quick drink or a casual burger dinner.

Great burgers, fries and cheese curds. Grilled cheese for vegetarians. Inside is so cozy with the booths and the outdoor patio is covered and heated. Great cocktails and friendly staff. Can get busy, we were there on a Fri night and got lucky by getting a seat on the patio right away because someone was just leaving, otherwise we would have probably had to wait a bit.

Stopped in last Friday in my Halloween costume. My costume included having my mouth “sewn” shut. I’m normally someone who orders a sipper to drink, but could only use a straw. Erin was so helpful in curating me the perfect drink! Still one of my favorite burger spots too!

My daughter flew into town with a friend and made a request for smashburgers. I quickly hit the internet (i.e. tik tok and google) and Small Bar kept coming up. Although there were lots of positive reviews, there wasn’t many pictures. I really did think it was a divey bar with little to no seating. I don’t know why, but we took a chance (2 adults and four kids in tow (16, 15, 13 and 9).
It was not very divey at all. It’s not a big space but they were very accommodating and very nice to use. It’s a clean space and simple- drinks, burgers and fries..boom.
We could have sat inside (although kids aren’t able to sit at the bar) but we chose to sit outside on the patio, because they had overhead heaters. We were very comfortable.
Burgers were off the chain! Fries were fire Their happy hour and frozen daiquiris were good.
We had a great experience. The frosting on the cake was the service. Those guys were so cool and great to us.

Food and most staff is usually great! We’ve had at least 3 encounters with a female bartender Erin who always makes us feel less than! Not sure if she has a problem with Mexicans or something about the way we look but she never seems to be able to welcome us. Otherwise love this bar
Love this spot for a drink and smash burger (one of my fav burgers in town). The vibes are great. Lots of great cocktails & beers to choose from. The frozen banana drink is banging too!
