I went to Old town location and the burger was sub par. I was so exited to get a burger there as the main restaurant is so busy. I would not recommend! Overpriced and only a 5 rating.
They tend to get the order wrong! There was a game today so it was hard to get there. It took a while to get home only to find no burgers just lettuce and onion really! I am visiting from out of town not a place I would recommend.
overpriced overrated and horrible company to work for

Small Cheval in Lincoln Square is a friendly neighborhood spot known for its made-to-order food. The staff is pleasant and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Many diners enjoy the delicious shakes, including the anticipated boozy shakes once the liquor license is approved. The menu features a burger, chicken sandwich, and fries, but some reviews suggest the food does not always meet expectations. One customer praised a great takeout experience, noting the burger, golden crunchy fries, and garlic aioli as highlights, along with a cold, sweet lemonade. However, others expressed disappointment, saying the burger lacked the consistency and flavor of the original Small Cheval locations. Concerns about food quality and service have been raised, especially when paying higher prices like $27 for a burger and fries that did not meet the usual standards. Despite these mixed opinions, the restaurant offers vegetarian choices and high praise for sauces like hot honey. Overall, Small Cheval provides casual dining, but opinions vary on its value and how closely it matches the quality of its other locations.
