Ever since the one in Evanston closed, I was SO sad I couldn't go get shaved snow anymore! It's really nice to be able to get some here. I'm sad they don't have condensed milk anymore, because apparently everyone was too weird about it, which is ridiculous! I don't hold it against the shop. Wish people would be more adventurous with their dessert. The taro flavor still tasted great just like the old shop in Evanston. Mochi was delicious as usual!
Being located in the Food Court at the Navy Pier is probably the only reason this place is still in business. While the Menu is filled with awesome options, the quality of the ingredients is subpar, the prices are exorbitant for such quality, the manager/owner? is straight up rude and unfriendly to customers/staff and they don't have much for dairy free alternatives. The place looks decent and has about 20 different types of shaved ice, bobas, macaroons, mochi ice cream, etc.
I got the Tiramisu shave ice. It was good and came with a marshmallow and chocolate topping with a chocolate syrup drizzle. Decent item.
