A delicious meal served by friendly and helpful staff! There are many choices but we always enjoy coming back to Sofi.
Food was terrific. Went with a party of 4. We all had some salad and a pasta dish. Rigatoni, gnocchi, & bolognese. Outstanding. Pasta was cooked perfectly & the sauces on each dish was flavorful. Waitstaff was so friendly. We went very early (before a show) and the place was quiet. Very romantic setting. 10/10 would go again.
Varied menu choices and outstanding quality in all their dishes. Service is personable and friendly . Cozy neighborhood feel.
All of our meals were excellent including the desserts and drinks. Pistachio martini? Yum!! Waiter was friendly and on spot. Food came quickly. A wonderful first visit here.
Excellent food and service! Burrata was fresh, pastas were hearty portions and all delightful. We were grateful that our server helped our vegetarian guest customize a dish exactly to his liking. Would definitely come again!
We have eaten at Sofi well over 100 times and still look forward to going back every time. Kind and welcoming staff; consistently excellent food with quality ingredients and an expansive menu; solid collection of wine and spirits. A real gem.
Excellent food (especially outstanding breads and desserts) and the service was absolutely top notch.

Great Italian restaurant! Good appetizers and pasta. Highly recommend the caprese salad! Good wine selection as well. Perfect for a group outing while we were here in town for a conference.

The service was the worst part. Limited interaction. The meal was mid, way too much sauce on the veal parm which made the breading super soggy and the veal was tough. I ate like 2-3 bites, no one asked about our food or how we were doing. The potatoes were good. Waiter came and picked up the plates, asked if we were ready for the check. That's it.
Terrible service. They did not honor a reservation made well in advance. Even after signing up when arriving, they passed several tables that arrived later. Service was extremely slow, when we asked for the manager to inquire about our food not arriving, his answer was: “if you don’t like the service, why did you stay?” Then he shouted at me and my family. His name was supposedly Christian Tarantino. The restaurant then claimed at Open Table that I did not show up for my reservation, which of course was a lie. When the food finally arrived after almost one hour, it was not even great, definitely not worth the waiting. There are so many good Italian restaurants in Chicago, make yourself a favor and avoid Sofi.

Amazing food that was fresh and delicious. We’re able to get a table without a reservation. Ordered from the main and special menu. Octopus was tender and the braised beef with polenta was delicious.

Wanted a quiet dinner for two before the show we traveled to Chicago to see. The food was wonderful, the service outstanding, and the ambience was just what we wanted. Highly recommend this fine dining restaurant.
