Amazing sandwiches and many options if you have a sweet tooth as well. Impressed every time I go in. Highly recommend. Also, they have dark matter coffee in the morning which is a huge plus.
I had made it a goal to find the best chocolate croissant in town when I moved to Chicago two years ago. This is the best one I've found so far! Upon entering I was immediately hit with the aroma of browning butter. The seating is a quaint tea-room vibe with mismatched Victorian China and chairs. The croissant was crisp and flakey while the dark chocolate ganache was soft and rich. I also had a hot cocoa that tasted like I was drinking a full cup of melted chocolate. Perfect croissants. Hardly more to say. They’re perfect. The biscuits are also near perfect. The only improvement I would wish for is that they are a little larger… ?. Meringues- perfect. Macarons- the best I’ve had. Eclairs- holy cow! The pastry cream is real. Good grief I’m hungry now….
