Ethnic Profiling Elite Gatekeeping ? I have personally frequented Sparrow many times over the years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. My group and I were denied entry simply because we had just come from the Hangge Uppe. That is not a substantial or fair reason to refuse service, and it felt more like profiling than enforcing any legitimate policy.
We arrived respectfully and were looking forward to enjoying Sparrow’s atmosphere and cocktails, as I have on many previous visits. Instead, we were met with dismissive treatment and told we couldn’t come in solely based on where we had been earlier in the night.
As a loyal customer, I expected better. A bar’s reputation should rest not only on its drinks but also on the hospitality and fairness it extends to its guests. I truly hope Sparrow’s management reconsiders these practices, because this kind of treatment is exclusionary and deeply disappointing.

Exceptionally rude staff. Brought us in. Told us we could sit at a table next available. Asked about the table that became available, server responded “I don’t have the authority.” Garbage excuse in the customer service realm. They sat some other person who had been outside after we waited 25 minutes in line. Maybe the cocktails are good, but who knows. Plenty of bars in this town that can mix and treat people right. Try better Sparrow.

Absolutely loved this Bar! Great cocktails and a lovely surprise to find Brugal 1888, exquisite Dominican Rum. The place is cozy, small but filled with surprisingly interesting decor, like the “call your mother phone” and the hotel’s keys. You have to wait a bit in line but the door guy is super cool. The bartender made me a Daiquiri with the Brugal 1888, I was in Heaven!!! Staff is super cool, professional and experienced. Can’t wait to go back! Thank your for a wonderful night!

When you absolutely need a well made cocktail in a very cool Cuban inspired cantina, this is it. The mixolotists are experts. Go in on an idle Monday and Just pride flavors you like and they'll blow your mind.
Standard menu items are also amazing. Ask for the Hemingway daiquiri if you love grapefruit.
