Cool, low-key vibe. It seemed a bit dark, but I think that is the way it suppose to be.

Delicious cocktails and amazing service! The bartenders are skilled and the host is as efficient as possible with getting people through the line and into the bar. Worth the wait!

Sparrow has a very cool, speakeasy vibe. It's much more spacious inside than I expected. The cocktail selection is great, certainly more rum-forward. I was happy to see they also have a wide selection of global rum brands as part of their menu. Overall, great experience!

Definitely my favorite cocktail bar in the city for the last decade. On a slower night go with a dealers choice.

Horrible experience, the bouncer checked my ID, had me stand in line for 12 minutes and then told me that they would not be letting anymore people in for the night and would not give reasoning behind why. Will never come to this establishment again. Save your time and money trying to get here, parking is extremely expensive and you may be turned away AFTER they already check your ID and make you wait.

Never got the chance to go into this place. Bouncer was on a power trip like I haven’t seen before. Friday evening, 6 PM. No one is outside. I walk in, only to be greeted by someone belittling be about missing the line. Again, no one was outside. No line. Then stayed I could not come in because I said one other person was meeting me here and I had to have my full party before entering. I was well dressed and in my mid 30s. I haven’t been profiled like this since my early 20s trying to get into clubs. I tell this story to everyone whenever the topic of bars gets brought up in conversation and I get pleasure knowing a stopped a few dozen patrons from trying this place out. Go down the street to three dots and a dash or make the trip to west loop instead. You’re welcome.

Extremely RUDE staff. Cocktails poorly prepared. Nice art-deco small space with bad management, staff and drinks. Don't waste your time and money here.

When I think dimly lit, I assume it will be quiet and calm. But!! Sparrow has nice moody lights and decorations and the atmosphere is quite lively. Saw lots of couples and a few groups of friends. There was a wait but not too long! I would highly recommend and will be coming back!

Lame. Not a fun place, staff is rude. Its like they want to promote a sad depressed vibe.

I ordered a sour made with dark rum and an egg white. I got a mix of el dorado 5 and plantation, which is fairly good, and drops of angostura. I didn't get her name, but the bartender was efficient, skillful, and friendly. Next time I think I'll ask for something with 1840 cognac and smith+cross.
