Great food. Always. But space is too small. You have to wait outside for your food if you order to-go, so be prepared to stand baking in the hot sun.

Commiserated with some other folks waiting outside about how much it sucked. I won’t be getting anything from here on hot days again.

Best English muffin I've ever had. I love their breakfast sandwich and its a great spot to hang with a friend/significant other. Their pastries are also great.

Absolutely loved this place! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The food was comforting and full of flavor, especially the key like hibiscus pie and the Spinning J breakfast sandwich. Definitely one to check out—you won’t be disappointed!

First off, excellent service! the staff is very polite and they recommended me the peanut butter cookie, which was maybe the best pb cookie I've ever had!
It's the right kind where it's soft and crumbles. If you know you know.
Got the chipotle kale sandwich which had great flavor! and paired well with the handmade cola i got.
I tasted the soda and thought, woah, this is actually made with real ingredients lol.
You can tell it's not the usual chemicals you'd get in a storebought soda, of course it's delicious. You can taste the actual ingredients and it's just good for your soul.

Burned my sandwhich for not tipping on counter service

You order at the counter and they bring you the food. You also get your own water and cream sugars for your coffee.

The default tip prompt is for 20-30%. I did 10 and I’m prettt sure that’s why my breakfast sandwich was burned.

The food is really good and the decor is awesome but you have to tip on counter service or they’ll mess with your food. Just know the cost of what you order will be 25% more.

cute little quaint spot close to Humboldt Park. The staff was super friendly and were helpful when navigating the menu. The cinnamon roll is a must if you’re into sweets like me, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the baked goods.

I’m a big fan of breakfast sandwiches and their English muffin egg and cheese really hit the spot .

somewhat of a mixed review. the goat cheese Danish was out of this world delicious. I want another right now. on the other hand, the polenta sandwich was eh, not so much. even the spread was underwhelming. I ended up throwing most of it in the garbage. I'm going to come back because a place that can make something so amazing is allowed a clunker. I'll update my review then.

pastries and sandwiches are wonderful, but they have the most disgusting matcha latte i've ever encountered. bitter and swampy.

Kid-friendliness: somewhat. menu items are a bit fancy but kids should be able to find something

Wheelchair accessibility: not at all, very cramped

I came here at 10:30am and waited in line for 40 minutes until sitting. But it was all inside waiting and it wasn't bad at all. The staff were nice and made you feel welcomed. Great environment for kids too, casual. I got the Kale and Pablano breakfast sandwich and it was so good. It had great flavor, and with Chilula it's incredible. My partner got the polenta breakfast sandwich, it was crunchy, soft, and delicious. We got a few milkshakes (this iced tea & chocolate) it was all good. Definitely suggest this place!

Bialy was top notch, perfect meld! Came for desserts but couldn’t resist the other goodies.

Really charming old-fashioned soda fountain vibe--and they do in fact make their soda syrups in house (root beer was good)! Pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon, but I had no trouble getting a seat at the counter. Service was friendly, and food was great. BLT on house sourdough was delicious, as was hibiscus key lime pie! Didn't have any pastries but those looked good too.
