Stellar food. Environmentally conscious, Covid-conscious and kind staff. Love all of the delicious GF options! Shout out to their baker! That breakfast sandwich on the GF focaccia gets me every time.Thankful this is in my neighborhood. ?Dietary restrictions: Plenty of GF options: focaccia, donuts, heart soups and salads

Doesn’t have to go cups for all sizes, “phasing out”. If you’re a to go place you need to have to go cups.

I’ve been to a ton of Chicago north side cafes, and there are two things I always crave / like to get:1. An egg and cheese bagel sandwich2. A Boston cream donutBoth of which knocked my socks off, the bagel sandwich was presented neatly in a basket, the bagel was flavorful and delicious, the bacon crisp and meaty cheese on egg all were flawless. The Boston cream had the right dough, was filled perfectly and had a delicious glaze, something I can’t say so much about my experience with Stan’s somewhat nearby.I also ordered an iced americano that came in a perfectly chilled metal tumbler.I don’t live nearby but I am now seeking out Spoken Cafe. So good.

Great coffee and food. Awful business practices. We were yelled at through a megaphone by the owner for waiting for coffee outside and not wearing a mask. I walked over to the window to get my coffee and the owner asked "why are you trying to kill us?" that was in 2021. Turned out, I was right and she was a rude jerk! I used to be regular there and now Im a regular at one of many other great coffee shops!

Loved the place. The food and coffee is delicious and staff is so sweet and caring! The place is crowded so if you’re planning to be there a while and sit to do some work or chat with a friend then I would recommend planning accordingly.

Full of people working on laptops taking up all the tables and not eating. I’m not sure why there is no enforcement or policy about no laptops during busy hours. Or some sort of time limit on such? The food is good but I’d really like to actually sit and enjoy myself here due to the high prices.

Cute, cozy, bustling little shop nested under the EL tracks serving busy commuters and folks like me who just like to sit and chill. Friendly service, chalkboard menus, soft lighting, slightly kitschy decor, and dark wood seating (limited) create a super warm and comfy vibe. It’s the quintessential independent coffee shop.

Popped in here for a coffee. The largest take away hot coffee they do is 8oz. They are encouraging you to bring your own mug for larger coffees, which is fine. Renting reusable mugs for $5 if you didn’t bring one is also fine. $5.60 for an 8oz oatmilk latte is not fine. Have never walked out of a coffee shop clutching my tiny coffee and looked up the street regretting not going to Starbucks (16oz oatmilk latte: $6.26).

Very very nice workers and cute ambiance inside - just not much seating. Street parking only but lots of meters around. Solid sandwiches but not very big for how much they are. Will say the servers truly go above and beyond.
