As Stan's Donuts expands and keep giving franchises the quality just decreases. Wow, I am never going back to Stan's. I was big fan of their airy extremely soft melt in the mouth donuts. Man! What happened to you guys, how did you ruin your quality so bad? Stan's donuts are dead. I was so pissed I even wanted to go back there and ask for a refund. Anyway, back to south side again, D&D's Place located at south Kedzie Ave. This is the only place left is Chicago that still serves airy melt in the mouth donuts.

I just moved to Chicago with my family, and we're still in the exploration stage of finding all the best places to eat. We'd walked past Stan's about a dozen times, but were always too late. I finally made it in last week, and they've made a customer for life. There is such a wide variety of donuts, and they're all pretty wonderful. The staff could not have been nicer, and "Panic" did a great job of recommending his favorites. We were not disappointed! We've been back at least three times since, and have been taken care of by the staff every time.

Good chain donuts. Clean store. Friendly and efficient staff. Street parking. In my opinion, better than Dunkin, not as good as Voodoo. The entrance, seating area and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. The bummer is, an employee informed me that they get their donuts delivered at 6 AM. As far as I know, they're not doing the baking on-site.

I cannot overstate how great this team is! Their team lead, Alec, is a consummate professional and is such an asset to Stan’s. He helped me troubleshoot a huge catering order (my fault) and he did it with a smile, at 7 in the morning on a Monday!! Huge props to the whole team. Truly exceptional customer service!

Came back home with my cold brew and when I took a sip something came up the straw and it was this squishy texture blob!!! Possibly mold?? It was disgusting! Made me sick to my stomach. Looks like they are not cleaning at this location.

This place is garbage. You wait in line to order, the staff prioritizes online orders. So you online order then the staff prioritizes walk ins. There’s no winning with this place. Donuts used to be good now they are old and stale no matter when you come. Not to mention the “wrapper” that they put the donut in in the bag gets stuck to every donut with frosting and pulls most of it off.
It's become a go to place for me and the lady for a quick Sunday breakfast.
