Impressive Stuff

Great seating, but bad shop among all the other Starbucks in Chicago we've been too. Brought our personal cup, but staff told us they have to make the coffee in a paper cup and then transfer to the personal cup. Got another cup of drink, and it came in double paper cups.

The most rude staff here. Also, they are supposed to close at 8 but decides to close at 7 due to “short of staff”.

I don't know why this Starbucks has the low reviews it does to be honest. This is by far my favorite Starbucks I've been too from the quality of customer service, attention to details, etc. It may seem like any ordinary Starbucks in a target but even the location and the view/size of the coffee shop is amazing.

This Starbucks is good location next to the waterway. Also share location with Target. Staff are friendly. We got Frappuccino mint Java.

Cons- 1 girl is extremely rude and undertrained. She is the larger brunette girl with a blonde ponytail. She is very nice to Caucasian customers and extremely rude to minorities. - I come here almost daily, and it is EXTREMELY uncomfortable to watch her do this to others in line. I have seen her accuse minorities of ordering the wrong drink, belittling them and telling them how to order (in one instance, she said to order the words differently), doesn't know Starbucks policy. Overall, she is extremely unhappy serving people of color. - Her behavior makes me so uncomfortable that I cannot condone that behavior or support this Target allowing their employees to behave like this. I will go to a different Starbucks that treats minorities better going forward.

I've got to be honest, I don't know why there are so many negative review about this place. I've come here a few times now, and each time I've come, it's been a very pleasant experience. Maybe the wait is longer in the mornings, but at least in the afternoons, the wait was short, the staff was efficient and friendly, and the coffee was good. There are a lot of people who order coffee here, but usually plenty of space in the seating area which is just lovely, lots of natural light and right next to big picture windows that look out on the river. Plus, outlets near most tables. I've found it a nice spot to work with noise-cancelling earbuds. Might be too noisy if you were just going to work without anything though. All in all, it's one of my favorite spots to get work done.

This morning I came in second in line holding my 3- month old baby then walks in a group of 3 whom the barista was about serve until I said I was next.. The guy ordering apologized but not the barista he just made me feel like a stranger in the Starbucks and felt as if he put extra effort to make me uncomfortable. I didn't catch his name.. he was not wearing a name tag but he was a shorter, skinny guy with dark hair.

Asked for 2 raw sugars to be put in the latte when I ordered and the woman said the sugar was on the side. I said i wanted it in the cup before they pour it in. She wrote it on the cup. The barista totally ignored the order and when she called my name, I asked her if it had the sugar in it per the order, she said the sugar was on the side. I’m annoyed that the baristas as Starbucks can follow the stupidest request for a finicky order, but can’t be bothered to follow through the simplest when it’s called out in the order. It’s totally disrespectful:

There are 6 Starbucks Reserve Roastery - Milan, Shanghai, Tokyo Seattle, Chicago & New York. We visited the one in Chicago and experienced a siphon-coffee. Amazing. All the beans are fresh roasted.

Brutal, staff is always working extremely slow. Completely worth it to go to literally any other location even if it's a 10 minute walk away.

Came here to find they are out of what makes half of their cold special drinks with no suggestions of what we could do to make the best of the order, so we made our own drink.Sitting here and working on my computer, the lady behind the counter is chewing gum and excessively popping a bunch of mini bubbles very loudly in a quiet room. Very annoying when I am trying to concentrate on work.

Great location, but unfortunately the incompetence of the staff ruins this Starbucks for me. I get the same drink every time, a matcha latte with strawberry puree blended into vanilla cold foam. Usually this costs $9-11 for a Venti (not sure why it’s never the same price but whatever), which I’m fine with paying. However, one of the staff members (the one who wears red lipstick every day) tried to charge me $17 for this exact drink, and when I brought up how an $8 price difference doesn’t make sense, she quickly got an attitude with me. When I came back the next day when she wasn’t working, the drink was $9. It’s absolutely unacceptable to miscalculate a drink’s total by $8 and then put the blame on the customer.

The baristas here deserve a raise!! Especially the ones with the hot pink and lilac purple hair. Their service was great, even when a rush of customers came through.
