I enjoy going to the Starbucks in Block 37! I'm always greeted with a smile and even the Manager, Dalton, goes out of his way to make sure every customer is noticed, serviced and satisfied. He does this consistently with a smile. It's a nice to experience this level of customer service and it's truly appreciated. Today, I was under a lot of pressure and stress. I had the honor and responsibility of ensuring coffee was available for a very important politician at a staff meeting. I ordered two traveler coffees ahead of time online. When I arrived at Starbucks, I met a young man named William, who was working alone. He was incredibly professional and hardworking. Despite the traffic coming into the store, he made sure I got my coffee on time for an 8 a.m. meeting.

So I hope I don’t seem petty but, the white guy behind the counter for the first time in my Starbucks life as a customer charged me for something that was free.
As you can see from the receipt, performed an override transaction from “0.00” to “0.22”.
I have never been charged for a cup of water in any Starbucks in any state I have been in. Was this racist? What do you all think?
