Starbucks Saga is ongoing!!!!According to a manager, Athena Chaney at the Hyde Park location in Chicago, Illinois, Starbucks requires her to “walk up to every table and explain that everyone must order something if they want to sit down.” This is what she explained to myself and the Chicago police officer after she called them to have me removed from the establishment. I explained to the officer that she assumed that I was not a paying customer because I chose to plug my laptop in before placing an order. I had my credit card on the table in preparation to order, of which I pointed out to her when she approached the table. I proceeded to order but did not want to deal with her, due to her poor attitude. I requested another person to take my order, of which I was denied and told to leave the establishment. I refused and she called the police and fabricated allegations that I cursed her out and refused to leave. I never raised my voice and do not use profanity. After I confronted her in front of the police about her lies and abuse of management power, I was given the ok to order and be a guest. Wow what a pathetic excuse for a human being. BP these policies are made to keep us in line and away from these locations. That’s what we should do!!! Stay away!!! It reminds me of the Philadelphia case where the police threw the Black men out of Starbucks for waiting to order I guess she thought I was afraid to confront injustice and face discrimination against racial policies whether they are enforced by Black puppets and shameless gatekeepers.
Listen. This one is the best spot in the park.
The people are interstellar. The place is clean. They hold the Starbucks ‘cafe’ vibe.
This is my go to location. Today I was running behind and so ordered mobile — it’s always ready. 🔥 today’s note set my morning in motion.
Thank you.
This location use to be a very inviting location. Now it has declined in it's atmosphere. The new policy is you have to place an order to use the bathroom. This unbelievable. I place an order about 100% of the time. Approximately a week in a half ago I came from the dentist and went into this location as usual and was told by my dentist not to eat or drink anything for 30 minutes. I asked the barista could I use the bathroom and he asked me did I order something. I told him I just came from the dentist and could eat or drink anything for 30 minutes and he told me I couldn't use the bathroom. In addition to the store manager attitude towards me is nasty. This is what I have observed from her over a period of time. I think it comes from me requesting certain things from her like turning the music down. It sounds like a club in there most the times. This particular Starbucks has poor management.
First time ever had to write down a complaint. I ordered a drink with no ice and they gave me only half the drink, telling me that that’s the standard. I’ve been to Starbucks for eight years and never once have this happened. This is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
I am very pissed off but the barista was nice so I didn’t want to trouble. But at the end of the day,, those are definitely not the standards and y’all need to fix your standards.
Great place to go for beverages and wonderful service.
To the young lady today who was working at the oven station she wrote enjoy with a smiley face on my bag thank you when I got home I smiled when I saw it and she even went above and beyond I was not feeling it today I remember her handing me my sandwich I can’t remember exactly what she said but I did laugh. excellent customer service young lady! Thank you so much I did enjoy my bacon Gouda!
I really liked how fast they make the coffee. Almost came out instantly after I order at the starbucks app. The coffee also taste nice.
These young girls finished my drink, Knew it was finished, and decided NOT to tell me. All so they can walk around and look at me like excited little girls. The one European lady is cool. The gay guy does not cause me any discomfort either. They do their JOBS. This was a silly start to my day errands. Not coming back. But surely. This country’s sense of self accountability has gone down the drain. And it shows in our Disrespectful LOWLIFE YOUTH.

I had another great experience with the barista, Jenise. I hope I spelled her name correctly. I want to share today's encounter.
Another barista made my drink, and I had wanted the cup to be lined with caramel. Unfortunately, I realized I didn't check that option on the app. I told the barista, "My bad, it's cool." However, when I tasted my drink, the espresso overpowered the pumpkin flavor, and I struggled to enjoy the frappuccino.
I decided to go up to the counter to ask for some pumpkin sauce. Jenise graciously accommodated my request and made me another drink. I really appreciate her service; she is the reason I will visit again. Thank you so much, Jenise!

Service is absolutely horrible!!! They take your order and don’t create tickets so you’re standing around for your order forever, until you say something. Do not come to this location!!!
Always the place to be in the summer for frappuccino, and in the winter for coffee. They have breakfast sandwiches and portals for connecting your phone charger. "Bring your laptop! ?
