Ladies and gentlemen (and my they/them friends), I broke my 3.5 month strict no sugar diet after walking into Sugar Bliss… They have an EARL GREY MACARON with I think a dark chocolate filling that I just could not pass up. It would almost be a disservice to me and my health journey to not get this earl grey macaron. Service was perfection, macaron was perfection, breaking my diet was worth it. Shout out to the team there that was so nice and helpful like the general manager Lizzie and of course the head chef Amanda’s 10/10 macaron creation. My fellow Americans, RUN don’t walk to Sugar Bliss - you deserve that sweet treat. And if you’re an international visitor- welcome to Chicago! You too should try this place out. Happy to have you here.

Went on a Tuesday about 2pm. Cute cupcakes but omg they’re terrible. They’re dense and dry. I double checked the description to see if maybe this place was vegan or organic or whatever but no. Everything LOOKED great and the frostings are good on the cupcake but out of the four cupcakes I bought all four went into the trash after a single bite. Maybe it was a bad day maybe not I really have no idea. I hope my experience was a one off.

Stopped in to buy some Macarons for gifts. Walked up to the counter and the clerk was leafing through a binder. I stood there waiting while she continued. Eventually she looked over to help me and she did not seem thrilled. I do get it, I also do not enjoy customer service, but this was not promising. One of my questions was answered by someone seated at one of the customer cafe tables, and that person also appeared to be slightly annoyed. Maybe this was just me misinterpreting things. I purchased two boxes of six macarons as gifts, and one extra for myself for $2.75, Earl Grey flavor. The Earl Grey flavored macaron did not taste at all like Earl Grey - it was just sugary sweet with no discernable bergamot flavor. This was disappointing. Hopefully the folks I am giving the boxed macarons to enjoy theirs!

BOTH cupcakes were dry, crumbly garbage.
They also don’t take cash, seems like they’re putting in minimal effort on both their product AND their business.
Won’t be back, what a waste.
A dozen mini-cupcakes are $30. SMDH

Absolutely underrated! Their cupcakes are heavenly—soft, moist, and practically melt in your mouth. The frosting strikes the perfect balance—rich, creamy, and flavorful without being overly sweet. And the macarons? Delicate, crisp on the outside, and filled with luscious flavors that make each bite irresistible.

I stopped by because I was staying at the hotel where it’s located and their site said there were gluten free options. Super cute place. Friendly staff. But the 5 stars are really for the gluten free peanutbutter chocolate chip cookie - o.m.g. Shut up. It’s JUST like the ones my mom made when I was growing up (gluten included lol). It had a bit of crisp on the outside and it was soft and chewy on the inside. It was SO good. I only got one - which is good because I would eat them all! Highly recommend if you have gluten issues and if you don’t - you’ll never know this cookie is gluten free.

This adorable shop caught my eye immediately during a recent stay at The Palmer House. I figured it was a perfect way to bring home a souvenir that wouldn't collect dust on a shelf and my kiddo and I were excited to see so many different things on offer.
While I don't need an overly bubbly greeting, the team member who eventually checked us out left me feeling like we were inconveniencing her by shopping there... And we hadn't asked questions or been demanding in any way. It's such an uncomfortable situation.
I had high hopes and was surprised to see so many positive reviews given the stale, nearly flavorless cookies we ended up with. I will say they all looked delicious, and I do hope that our experience was isolated to maybe just a bad day. But I'm not willing to spend more money to find out.

I have worked in the downtown area for the past year. I went on an errand with a co-worker, and we ended up here. The store is cute, and the displays are cutier. I had a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing, and it was amazing. Please stop by and try them out. I only have a picture of the bag, the cupcake went fast 🏃♀️ 😅

Hit up Sugar Bliss and dropped about $12 on a salted caramel cupcake and a box of 4 assorted macarons. Cupcake was tasty—the frosting hit—but felt a bit sweet overall. Macarons were legit fresh and delicate, though one was slightly cracked. Chill downtown vibe and friendly staff. Solid spot for a treat, but could tone down the sugar a bit next time.
