Sugar Moon is a charming bakery and café in Logan Square that’s perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their pastries, cookies, and cakes are beautifully crafted and incredibly flavorful—everything tastes fresh and made with care. The coffee and espresso drinks pair perfectly with the baked goods, making it a great spot for breakfast or a mid-afternoon treat. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with friendly staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. A must-visit for delicious desserts and a relaxed, cheerful vibe.

This is what we call a hidden gem ! I used to see posted outside early in the AM and wondered wth was going on. Lo and behold I realized it was Sugar Moon. The most scrumptious cookies, mouth watering blueberry scones, and amazing banana pudding pastries. I love bread and pastries and this def worth the wait, worth the money, and a1 applesauce!

Don't let the line scare you, it moves fast enough. Besides, the pastries are definitely worth it. Excellent variety of sweet and savory bakery options with a very friendly staff. It's good I live on the other side of the neighborhood otherwise I would be there every weekend. Their filled croissants are highly recommended as well as the bialys. I really don't think you can go wrong with any choice there but the staff is very eager to help you narrow it down.

Every single thing I ordered was out of this world incredible. The line moves fast and it’s absolutely worth the wait. Such a friendly, patient crew working there, as well.

Title: A Bakery Without Bread, a Café Without Coffee

I’d been wanting to try Sugar Moon’s pastries for a while, but when I finally stopped by—just before noon on a Saturday—it felt like I’d walked in at closing time. Nearly everything was gone. The grand selection? One sad, lonely cookie staring back at me. If you know you’re going to sell out before midday, maybe, I don’t know… bake more? You’re open until 2 p.m., but by lunchtime, the place looked like a set for a bakery apocalypse.

And the cherry on top? No espresso machine. A bakery with no espresso machine. That’s not quirky—that’s pathetic. Don’t call yourself a great bakery if you can’t even pour a proper coffee. Honestly, Sugar Moon, get a grip.

Pastries are outstanding! With a rotating selection of items, they're some of the best I've had. Chicken pot pie and Mortarella croissant 👌

A cute spot with lots of unique options! Fair prices for the area. The bananas foster pastry was SO GOOD, I’ll be back for another or to try something new. They were out of iced coffee when I went and recommended I go down the street to another coffee shop.

Best pastries and baked goods I’ve ever had in my life. I come to Chicago once a year for Riot Fest and I have to stay in Logan square just for quick access to this amazing place.
