Our server was not the best. Also, the restaurant has now accused us of not showing up for our reservation. I have the receipt to prove we were there.
We had an amazing lunch at Summer House. First time visit, so wasn't sure what to expect.. but our server, Whitney, really made the difference for a great experience!! So many excellent choices of both drinks and food.. so when faced with tough decisions- Whitney offered us superb guidance to help us decide.. and our choices were spot on: the signature guacamole (loved the extra sauces), salumi and Burrata pizza, crispy Baja fish tacos, and finished off with cappuccinos and oatmeal scotchie cookie. The cocktails were very unique and we enjoyed our choices of: Tropical Dreams and Bayside Sunrise. A sunny and bright spot to dine for a late afternoon lunch before the much anticipated snowstorm! Cheers to Chicago.. and to Summer House!! We will be back!
6 people. 5 people ordered lunch. 3 meals came. The 2 that didn't come were soup. Finally when the 2 soups came (when everyone was almost don't with their meal) the soups came out cold. They attempted to bring new soup that took forever. Everyone was completely done with their meals. We no longer wanted it. 2 of us didn't eat. All they did was take the soup of the check. Didn't take anything else off or even offer desert. I get that it was not waiters fault, but manager should have done more, apologized more. On top of that there were 2 little kids in our section screaming their heads off. Parents doing nothing. I know not waiters fault but it was awful.
Great food and experience for kids all ages!

Is better for lunch or brunch. Early dinner time is kid-friendly but most of the food wasn't as good and the service was less than attentive, though friendly. We tried to get the server's attention for 10 min. while she gabbed with another server at the bar. Liked meatballs, cucumber with seviche, steak taco. Pink cookie tasted like pop tarts - not our fave.
Lots of good choices on menu. Very family friendly. We had small kids and a couple of glasses fell and broke, they didn't bat an eye, cleaned.everything up, we felt terrible, they were terrific about it. Great helpful staff and delicious food. Pizza was terrific!

We had a family party for a 6 year old's birthday. Our server took about 20 mins before he arrived to take the drink orders. He then took our drink and food orders at the same time. The drinks took about 15 more mins to arrive with the appetizers and meals even later. The issues was that he was taking the orders for tables that arrived after us. They all got their drinks and food before us. The food was tasted good but was nothing special. We went since they have kiddie cocktails kits for the little ones.

I really enjoyed this restaurant, and so did the rest of our guests. The service was excellent, the food was good, but a few misses... especially for an undercooked medium burger, and all of the fries (even the chips in”fish and chips”) are shoestring cut. But, the Poke nachos, and Brussels sprouts were excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with our requests and dietary restrictions. The food service was a bit slow, but they kindly comped our appetizer that came out late.
Summer house was great. We had an 8:45p reservation with the restaurant closing at 9 which made us a bit anxious. However, not to worry... all of our selections were available. We had the fish and chips, meatballs, trout, potato salad deviled eggs and butternut squash soup. All selections were excellent. The deviled eggs had a bit more potato salad mix than I would like. Nut that is a preference. Lastly, our waitress was wonderful and accomodating.
