I honestly need to come here more often because I live so close. Sun Rey Café is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Chicago. It’s Black- and Filipino-family owned and operated, with great service and even better food. Highly recommend!
Came here on a random morning breakfast date with my husband based on good reviews and being walkable to us, and we were blown away. A cute family owned and operated business with incredible food that is clearly made to order from scratch. Sun Rey Cafe is an excellent local breakfast spot. Quick and friendly service. Our server always made sure we had full cups of coffee. The food was the star of the show. The Manilla breakfast was my personal favorite, the eggs were perfectly over easy, the Logganisa sausage was outstanding, very happy I tried it.
