Once again I’ve tried Asian I. Chicago and it fails. The dish of Szechuan chicken was anything but spicy. The pieces of chicken were prepared in HUGE chunks like a half thigh? No Chinese true Chinese dies food this way. We’re eating with chopsticks. There were 3 beans and a couple of scallions and about 3 lbs of thigh meat in giant chunks. The appetizer didn’t arrive before the meal so I canceled it. Had to flag waiter down for my warm sake order after food arrived and 10 plus mins. Never asked how the food was. Horrible service and I’m older woman so I resent the dis ! There doesn’t seem to be edible Chinese/Asian in Chicago. Sad.

Had a lovely date night here. Honestly the best part about the experience was the service (and that's saying something because the food was also amazing). Our server was Miriam and she was truly the best server I've ever had. She was attentive, kind, funny, and knowledgeable of her menu! We got shishito peppers, brussel sprouts, crunchy tuna, and bao buns with chicken and pork belly. The seating, lighting, music was also all very nicely curated. Would love to come back here!

Everyone enjoyed the food starting with the Oxtail pot stickers! The other fabulous dish was the sweet potato noodles with vegetables and tofu! We had difficulty hearing one another due to the noise and room acoustics. I would not recommend going to this restaurant if you have any soft talkers. Overall, we had a great time.

Server was super accommodating and aware of our dietary restrictions, she personally checked certain ingredients to make sure we could enjoy dishes and offered modifications to dishes so we could try them if we so desired :)

Reserved a table here for my Birthday, it was a Wednesday evening and pretty packed. The atmosphere is nice, yet my table was too close to other tables that I had to be cautious all the time not to touch or hit other people from the table behind and next to us (just a bit of inconvenience but not a big deal since we're small).
We ordered Signature Crispy Rice - Wagyu -- Loved it. Massaman Scallops, Panang Beef Short Rib, Tom Yum Sea Bass with both Jasmine rice and Brown rice. At first we were missing 1 bowl of rice, but after reminding the server, they brought it out, no biggie. The main dishes are nice, but the rice gave us mixed feelings. We're Asian, we eat rice on a daily basis, both Jasmine rice and brown rice, so we know that brown rice could be drier than normal rice. Jasmine rice was cooked perfectly, but the brown rice was a huge disappointment, it's too dry to even swallow or too hard to chew. With a restaurant like this, I expect better.
I would still recommend the food here, just do not order brown rice.

First time to Sunda and the food and service were excellent! Highly recommend the Miso black cod, Tom Yum Sea Bass and Brussel sprouts. Restaurant was loud but service and food made up for it. Will definitely be back.

10 out 10 experience! I am deathly allergic to milk so I am not a fan of going out to eat but it was my sisters birthday. Not only did the restersunt give my sister a happy bday card, but the Sous Chef Catalina ensure my dinner and desserts were dairy free. Every suggestion she made was absolutely perfect! We will definitely be back again thanks to Catalina!

Food was sooo good tonight! My 2nd time at Sunda Chicago and they never miss. Rachel, our waitress, was amazing — so attentive and genuinely sweet. Edwin, the manager, also checked on us and made sure everything was perfect. They even surprised us with Halo-Halo 2.0, Ube Pie, and Bibingka on the house!

Such a thoughtful gesture and it truly made our night. Great food, great service, great people. Always a 10/10 experience at Sunda Chicago!

First time at Sunda celebrating my birthday. The food was amazing very tasty and full of fun flavors my favorite was the lobster and wagyu roll and the Strawberry fields cocktail. The atmosphere was so wonderful, noise level was definitely very loud and hard to hear. Beware of the waitress named Kimberly, unfortunately she was not having a great night and wasn’t serving us to the best of her ability, she gets frustrated very easily. However, the manager was amazing he had our backs and was able to provide a wonderful atmosphere for the rest of our celebration. Overall it was a pleasant and enjoyable evening I will definitely be coming back to try new dishes!

FANTASTIC experience all around. The food was tremendous, the staff was helpful and professional, and the atmosphere was perfect. We had a combination of appetizers, noodles and sushi. The spicy edamame and the red dragon roll were the highlights. Would highly recommend!
