My experience here was atrocious. My husband and I had dinner reservations last Friday at 8pm. We arrived about 15 minutes early, and were asked to wait in the seating area outside the restaurant. After waiting an hour, we had to leave because we would not have been able to have the full omakase experience and make our later plans on time. While I cannot speak to the food, I can say that the service was an embarrassment. The hostess did not make us feel welcome, we received no updates on the expected wait time during our hour there, and she treated us as though she’d done us a favor by not charging for a ‘missed reservation’. Their website states, “We specialize in serving a high quality traditional omakase experience,” and nothing about our experience provided that.

Got the 60-min Bougie Experience (17-courses for $100) - the sushi was fresh and delicious! Only con is that the nigiris served were pretty small and we were still hungry at the end and ordered a bunch of a la carte items after.Get the a la carte Big Mac (Toro + Scallop + Uni) - absolutely scrumptious!Absolutely beautiful restauraunt, perfect for dates.

You have to go!! My husband and I were staying at the Claridge Hotel beginning of March and went celebrate his birthday at the Sushi By Bou - that was amazing!! Just a perfect night with the best ambiance! The team was so lovely and the food was excellent and made with a lot of love!! Best experience and service!! Thank you so much again to all the team for this unforgettable moment, we are so grateful and we will recommend you to all our friends!! :):)

I was running slightly behind so I reached out to the text only line. They were able to allow an extra 5 mins grace. When we came in, it was so welcoming! My party and others were seated in front of our chef where they hand made several sushi pieces. It was so yummy and such a fun experience. Super delicious and we had a nice drink package as well! This was my first omakase experience and I loved it. At the end, we were able to ask the chef to make some of our fav pieces from the experience a la carte. I want to bring my family; definitely recommend!
Had a delicious birthday dinner here with 9 people. The variety of sushi was exceptional and each with unique flavors. The pace of the meal was well executed by chef and Chelsea took great care of our drink options. Because it's Omakase, you do sit in a row at a bar. With a larger group, this impedes some conversation, not a negative, just something to be aware of. That being said, following our dinner, they moved us to a smaller space to sit together where we could keep ordering drinks while we had dessert and hung out. It was really a wonderful experience!!

My fiancé and i celebrated our anniversary, and man, it was beautiful. Every cocktail and sushi piece was handcrafted to perfection !! We did the 12 course sushi ? dinner. Worth every penny . On the more expenses side so definitely saved this for special occasion.

This the second Sushi by Boy location we have been to and so far my favorite. Great atmosphere and food and I loved the special add-on at the end. Straightforward sushi that I personally enjoyed every bite. The 12-course meal was a perfect way to end of Saturday night. The complimentary sake at the beginning was good, but I always love a nice junmai daiginjo. We got drinks at the hotel bar prior and that lady was AMAZING at making drinks. I would definitely recommend her old fashioned.

Such a cool Omakase experience! The payment portion of the evening was a little confusing since they had to clear us out very quickly for the next group. The food was incredible, there wasn't a course we didn't enjoy! Super cool to be able to see the chef put together each piece of sushi

Best sushi I had in Chicago, amazing service, amazing atmosphere! I just recommend eating something prior to going to the Omakase, I went for both the $60 and the $100 ones, but had to eat something afterwards both times

what a wonderful first omakase experience. i had wanted to try omakase for a while, and at $60, this can't be beat. note that the restaurant week "deal" isn't really a deal because the basic 12-course omakase is regularly $60. i'm not mad though because this was the best sushi i've had to date. some highlights were the wagyu with uni, the fatty tuna with truffle salt, and the miso cod. the workers here are all very nice and will ensure your experience is a memorable one. the ambiance is also very swanky - i believe this location is 1920s themed? check out pics of 10/12 of the basic omakase menu (yelp only lets you upload 10)!i WILL return to try the bougie 17-course!
