I visited sweet greens about a week ago, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I got one of their hearty fall salads and it was delicious. The staff was nice and friendly, and the only complaint I have is that when you walk through the door the staff doesn't greet the customers. Instead of saying welcome to sweet greens, or even just saying hi, everyone just looked at me while I tried to figure out what I wanted to order. Other than the that, the food was good, the space was clean, and I was served promptly.

Used to Be My Go-To, Now I'm Starving
I'm writing this review with a genuinely heavy heart because Sweetgreen used to be my absolute favorite spot for a quick, healthy lunch. For years, I was a loyal customer—I had my regular orders, I bragged to friends about the quality, and I never hesitated to spend a little more because I knew I was getting a reliably filling and delicious meal. Past tense, unfortunately.
My last two visits have been utterly baffling, and the most recent one was the final straw. I ordered my usual custom bowl, and when I opened the container, I genuinely thought they had accidentally given me a half-order, or maybe even just a side dish. The portion size was insulting. I mean, the bowl was barely a third full. The lettuce base was thin, the toppings I paid extra for were counted out meticulously (I counted four chickpeas!), and the overall volume of food was less than a handful. It was a $15 bowl that was gone in five bites, leaving me feeling hungrier than when I started.
It felt like a deliberate effort to cut costs at the customer's expense. When you pay a premium for a healthy bowl, you expect it to sustain you past the first hour of the afternoon.
I've been a committed customer for so long, but seeing this level of inconsistency and portion shrinkage makes me incredibly hesitant to return. I'm so disappointed because I truly loved this place. Now, I’m seriously considering taking my business elsewhere, because paying that much for essentially no food is just not worth it anymore.

Had such a great experience! I always get the avocado chicken ranch bowl but today Ashley M. made it beyond my expectations. Can’t wait to be back!

Just went here (no one wants to make a salad at 3pm, but alas I am a customer).
Asked for extra goat cheese on my salad and the employee gave me two half scoops instead of two full scoops. I asked for more since I knew I was going to be charged extra, but they didn’t put more on. So I paid extra and didn’t get extra. Skimpy skimpy.
Then I asked if I could pay in cash they said yes, but they would have to get a manager. I said okay! Then was just stared out. Yes, please go get the manager. They were back 3 seconds later. Just felt very apparent they wanted the transaction to be over with so they could get back to what they were doing.
Also tried charged me for a drink that I didn’t even pick up!?? Logan Square sweetgreen isn’t good. Andersonville is the best sweetgreen.

We ordered sweet green take out from this location and are honestly considering action other than just reviewing, because there was something that can only be described as glass, in my “garlic steak bowl” and I CHIPPED A TOOTH!!!!!! A molar!!! Not only that, the food was totally inedible, the steak was hard & cold and had clearly been sitting out all day so I decided not to eat it and had moved it off to the side (we paid $20 for this BTW). I continued to eat the veggies and rice and that’s when the tooth incident happened. I am so upset, if I have to have this tooth repaired I will be seeking compensation.

Ordered two bowls for delivery. Only received one. Tried to call to see if the other bowl was still there, but it's an endless phonetree. Impossible to talk to anyone.

I really do love sweetgreen, I love the concept and the healthy vibes. I go here often food because it’s a healthier option compared to other this places. Unfortunately what you get isn’t really worth the price. As many times as I’ve gone, there has always been an equal issue with the greens. If you ever look in your plate, you will see that there is a bunch of wilted dead pieces of romaine in your bowl and they don’t have the decency to remove those wilted pieces. If I’m paying 15-16 sometimes $20 for a salad I want it to be top-notch and I want my greens to be fresh and not wilted. You guys really need to do a better job of quality control and making sure that everything is fresh and new because in my experience it hasn’t been that way not since you first opened. I hate giving such a low score because I actually like this place because it’s a healthy option, but as I stated the cost does not match the quality of food that you’re getting which is sad.

On the second bite of my salad, I chewed something with a gritty texture. I thought it was just the chips being hard. I didn’t want to jump to conclusions, so I took two more bites, and on the third, I bit into something even bigger with a strange texture—I’m not sure if it was bone, glass, or stone, I just know it was black with some transparent parts. I started looking through the salad to see if there was more. I found a two-centimeter-long hair. At this point, there was no need to keep looking, and I stopped eating. I don’t usually write reviews, but this was too much. I’m not sure if they’re properly cleaning the vegetables. The quality of the salad was terrible and dirty. I just hope I don’t get sick.
