I did NOT plan on eating tacos today. I accidentally walked into Taco Mya and my life took a sharp left turn for the better.
First of all — flavor. Like… illegal levels of flavor. High-quality meat, beans and rice that actually deserve respect, and tacos that make you stop mid-bite and reevaluate past taco decisions.
The chips and salsa?? Warm, red, savory, comforting like a taco hug. Perfect winter weather salsa. I would drink it if society allowed.
I’m from Los Angeles, where tacos are basically a religion — and Taco Mya would absolutely survive the LA streets. Possibly dominate them.
Shoutout to Vijeesh and my girl Amish , who delivered amazing service with vibes so good they should be on the menu. The cooks in the back were smiling AND cooking like they had something to prove. Mission accomplished.
Beautiful location, tons of space, perfect for late night cravings, happy hour chaos, or “I just need tacos right now” emergencies. I would eat here every day if my doctor and my wallet didn’t know me.
This place is a straight-up gem on State Street and a big reason the street is winning.

We were looking for somewhat quick food as we had to get back to our hotel, which was within walking distance. We wanted to go to the world famous pizza place nearby, but that was a 1 1/2 wait! We found this little place and glad we did. There was a line to order, but it was pretty quick and really didn't know what I wanted. I had the enchiladas with red mole sauce. I'm use to regular choc mole sauce, but this was different. It was so good. It was a bit of a wait, but they made everything fresh. I really liked their sauce bar, where you could try a little bit of everything. Did I mention that ambiance was bright and clean! Everyone there was glad we stopped by... we did too !!

This was truly fantastic. Not only was it incredibly quick but flavor profiles were on point. Our server was kind and attentive, even gave us a free drink cup. I rec their signature taco with pineapple if you go.

Our first time here and we may have just found our go-to Mexican spot! An interesting mix of traditional tacos and Indian inspired tacos available. I went with the birria and Nashville hot chicken tacos and would order both again! My partner ordered the chicken 65, chicken tikka, and shrimp (oops, consumed before the pic) and loved all of them. They offer complimentary chips and warm salsa and also have a great salsa bar; do yourself a favor and try the jalapeño hot salsa! The salsa bar was kept immaculately clean. They also have a fountain Coke machine that you serve yourself from. The rice and beans were also delicious and the beans are halal friendly.
