Great place to visit and I love their chicken tacos.
I went to TacoRio because I have a summer membership at Urban Kayaks and they offer a discount, so figured my friend and I would try it out. Location is on the Riverwalk right by Navy Pier so there are amazing views but not overly crowded. Spacious amount of seating, drinks were delicious (I got the Paloma), and food was perfect (got the Pick 2 tacos with chips/guac/salsa). Staff was super kind, helpful, and attentive. Perfect place to go when the weather is nice and dog friendly is a big bonus 🐶 🌮 🍹
The best meal we had on our Chicago trip! Excellent tacos, chips and salsa, and the house hot sauce was incredible. Sitting next to river sipping a delicious spicy margaritas with great food was a highlight! My husband who is gluten free and dairy food had great food with little compromise.
River front setting cannot be beat! Fresh guacamole and warm toasty tortilla chips!
The food was horrible. The atmosphere/aesthetics were the best.
Here to celebrate a birthday with a group. Great experience and great food! Matt, our stand in server, made our experience a 10/10... happy matt was working because our assigned server was not a talented one. Great job Matt! Thank you!!!
Two less-than-mediocre asada tacos and a 12oz Modelo came to just under $30. Meat was dry, over cooked and under seasoned. Oh, and you get to serve/clean up after yourself. Up your steak game, Rio.
Great place. I’ll for sure be back. Good tacos and very good nachos. Long Drink’s all day!! Very welcoming and relaxing. Best seating on the Riverwalk by far. Perfect place to watch people but also great service e and food!
The food was really good. I was surprised. I had the chicken nachos and my friends got tacos. The only thing was my friend said the steak was a little tough. Additionally, the vibe was nice. Good music and they pulled up a heater for us upon asking (it was super windy and 50s when we went). I would recommend. TAKE NOTE: they charge a 15% service fee on all food orders.
Great service and lovely vibe.

Wonderful experience at Taco Rio! Exploring the river front and came upon this gem. The Carne Asada tacos and chips and salsa were amazing! The drinks and DJ were an added touch! Met the owner Asher who also owns the kayaking business next door. He was a phenomenal host! Looking forward to visiting again.

Good fun right on the river. We were dancing, eating, and enjoying an autumn evening in Chicago.
The tacos were good, and it was pretty quick despite being busy.

A beautiful place, the food and service very good, the tacos are a little expensive but it's worth it, enjoy a little of the view you have of the river.
