Zero in everything:
You can understand that a dish arrives in bad conditions to consumers, but not that they are not given options to apologize.
The lady in charge treated us very poorly and did not have any kind of empathy towards us.
A total disappointment this business.

Today we visited this establishment after a very long and emptied stomach day, we ordered some pork and chicken tamales for each. While the chicken was mild but still lacking flavor, the pork tamale was unexpectedly and intensely spicy; far spicier than one would assume, trust me, I can handle spicy... this was just unacceptable, without any warning whatsoever. There were no signs or verbal cues indicating that the pork tamales were made with such spice and the chicken wasn't, which made the contrast between the two even more surprising.
When we politely asked if we could exchange the spicy pork tamale or any other solution, the vendor responded dismissively and honestly...in a very discusting manor; implying we were at fault for not knowing that her pork tamales are always spicy. She refused to accommodate the request, citing her long-term method as justification.
Rather than demonstrating understanding or offering a possible solution, the vendor made us feel foolish for asking. There was no sign of management or oversight by anybody but her, and no effort to preserve customer goodwill. I had to look at my kid and tell him we needed to find another place due to this miscarriage of service.
Though the food may suit those familiar with her specific style according to what she states, the experience was defined by poor communication and a lack of basic customer service. I cannot recommend this establishment for anybody who seeks a new friday night out place with his family. Waste of money, waste of time, waste of a waited hunger to waiting be delighted by something good. Dont eve approach this place.

Horrible, the lady working there did not help at all, they did not inform us that the pork tamales were extremely spicy, and my brother is allergic to peppers. The lady did not let us speak with the manager nor exchange our tamal 0/0 service.

Showed up at 12:30 pm on a Friday when their sign says they’d return at noon - no one there. Very disappointing as it is at the very end of the navy pier. Not worth the time.

This cute little shop located at the the end of the navy pier is literally a hidden gem.

I ordered a pork tamale with hot salsa and an Elote with extra heat and was completely impressed. It was creamy and so fresh.
The tamales were moist and super flavorful. Good portion size.

Would definitely recommend this place.

Delicious tacos. Ordered just one as a snack, and came back and ordered 2 more because I couldn’t get enough!
