This place seems to have lost its lustre. I’ve ordered from this place a number of times but the last couple occasions the lamb or meat dishes in the curry haven’t been cooked through or just appear to be stale. The tandoori chicken is generally always on point.

Unfortunately this did not live up to the expectations I had given the menu pricing and fun fusion options available.
The butter chicken was dry (sauce was excellent tho). The lamb was mediocre and the chana masala was lacking flavor. The naan wasn't as fluffy as expected (that may be a preference thing though). To be fair the portions were decent sized, but there's only so much dry chicken I want to eat anyways.
If this priced more competitively, it would be a 5 star review. But for the price I expect better.

I love Tandoor Chat but holy cow, this place is SLOW! I’ve ordered from this location twice and both times I showed up when they told me it would be ready and still waited for an additional 15-20 minutes! Honestly, I don’t care if food takes a little while to make, that’s how you know it’s good! But just SAY that it’s gonna take 45 minutes and not 25 minutes. I’m really disappointed because again, the food is fantastic but that doesn’t excuse the service being pretty bad :/

I ordered via Uber eats. Someone at the restaurant called me to say they didn’t have the mango cheesecake. They asked if I wanted to substitute which I did not so I asked for a refund. The person who called me told me they would make sure I got a refund. Not only did I not get a refund , they marked the item off on the receipt indicating it was given to me. So because of that , Uber won’t refund my money and this restaurant got to get my $12. Why would I have a call from them via an Uber eats number if they didn’t call me ? Excellent customer service ?
Excellent food! We loved the chicken tacos! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the neighborhood. A wonderful find!

COME THROUGH CHICAGO INDIAN FOOD SCENE! Tandoor is a stop that should be on your list if you love Indian food.
The location on Halsted has select $5 appetizers, Mon - Wednesday and they include Samosas (2), Chaat fries or Pakoras, which are fritters that are deep fried to a golden brown. The samosas are huge! The vegetable Samosa was packed with so much flavor and the sauce that came for dipping made it even better! I’m used to getting samosas that have just a little bit of filling or have a crust that isn’t the most appetizing. These were the complete opposite!
If I have to suggest anything - it’s definitely the Murg Malai. It’s huge and can feed two people honestly. And the flavors? So tasty!!!! Everything is brought out sizzling! The veggies are fresh and the meat has been marinating for 24 hours before being cooked fresh. Those flavors are Poppin!
Stop by to try something off of their delicious menu and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!
