My favorite lunch spot in the city. No comparison! I dream about the lentil soup, IYKYK. Falafel is perfect, shawarma with the toum is outstanding. Bring cash, don’t expect a seat because it gets busy and enjoy! It doesn’t get better than this.

I was met by a super nice staff member, perhaps the owner, upon entering. It’s clear this is a local favorite by how customers were interacting with him. Affordable too!

There’s not enough praise or words to define how good this place is from the food to the service. Absolute Gem, been coming here 10+ years, you will not get a fresher more flavorful falafel sandwich +lentil soup anywhere in there city and trust me I’ve tried. The guys that work the back counter are super genuine, dishing out authentic real full flavored Lebanese food.

This place is incredible. It taste like authentic Shawarma that I used to have as a kid in Lebanon. I feel transported to my childhood when I was eating shawarmas on the mountains of Lebanon. I’ve tried so many different places all over the North America and this is my absolute favorite. The owner and his son are so nice. The food is unbelievably good! 😊

Quick heads up ITS CASH ONLY, but there’s a chase bank and ATM’s around the corner. This place is great for a quick and fairly cheap lunch. Unfortunately the prices have gone up. Even just within a few years the price has jumped up by an about 2 bucks but I attribute that to raising costs to keep up with inflation. For about $7.50 after tax you are still getting a decent value and the food is great and delicious for the price!

Been coming here for 6+ years. Everything is good, but the falafel with baba is my favorite. I’m completely loyal to it—won’t have falafel anywhere else. It’s not just the food itself (which is hot, quick, and delicious), it’s the team. They get to know their customers & care about the neighborhood. A true mom&pop hole in the wall gem in Chicago.
Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian except the shawarma I believe

I had lunch here in June, and a week later, I ordered three dozen falafils to go. Excellent choice. SUPERB falafil and the lentil soup was pretty spectactular, too. But the baklava. OMG, the baklava. SO. GOOD.
I was supposed to be in Chicago again this weekend (late October), but my trip was cancelled the day before I was supposed to leave home. One of the top three disappointments in the cancelled trip is that I didn't get to experience the divine food at Taste of Lebanon again.
Very small dining area, no outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Top-notch food. GO NOW.

1st time. Tried combo platter. Everything had great flavor. Chicken was tender. Even rice and dressing for small salad had nice flavor.. Pleasant Arabic background music. Staff was friendly. Pretty good value too. Overall great experience.

My go-to restaurant in that part of town. Cash only so plan ahead, but there's an ATM around the corner. I love the food, the prices are great, and they're always quick and efficient. $27 for two people, drinks, sides, entree, and an app. Filling and delicious

It’s a family biz, the kitchen staff is the same for the last 30 years, it’s clean and yummy. Always busy, limited seating! Closed on Sundays.
