Wonderful service and dining experience. High quality meals and a very personable server with just the right amount of attentiveness
Customer service was excellent! As first timers at Tavern on Rush, we were delighted with the entire experience. The hostess was so gracious and welcoming and despite our asking to change our table twice because of the heating elements above our table, we never felt that we were an inconvenience. Leah and the assistant waitstaff members treated us with courtesy, respect and personal attention. The food and dessert were excellent. I will be back and have recommended Tavern on Rush to two other friends. Thank you!
Fantastic experience, celebrated our anniversary, got seated right on time, outside on Rush Street side, best people watching spot! Had great weather and the best server, don't remember his name unfortunately.
Tavern on Rush continues to be one of my new favorite spots in Chicago. Everything you order is incredible. The drinks are great. Service is wonderful. And, I loooovee the upstairs ambiance. I have been here 4-5 times the last year and enjoy it each time.
Booked a dinner reservation for my friend & I, because I haven't been back to Tavern since it reopened. Overall, I was a bit disappointed - I originally wanted to sit outdoors, but when I checked in, the host said it was a 45 min wait, so we skipped that and got seated inside. We were originally placed a 4 top table tucked away in a corner, with no ambiance, so I requested a 2 top table by the windows. The ambiance overall feels a little stuffy, a bit more upscale than what Tavern on Rush used to be. I personally prefer the previous set up, where the windows both upstairs & downstairs opened up and felt more intimate. Our server was nice, but we felt rushed almost the entire time we were there. Later, during our entree, our server had to leave for the night, so he introduced us to another server, which we figured was the reason why he was rushing us. We ordered the burrata & prosciutto and the branzino to share, which were both delicious. I probably won't come back again on my own accord for a full meal.
Omar, and other staff, provided excellent service. The outdoor seating is comfortable and well appointed with table linens and quality glassware. We enjoyed the omelet, smoked salmon, bacon, fresh fruit; because i was celebrating my birthday, Omar brought a nice slice of cake for us! Very nice experience!
Lobster pasta seems smaller Server was excellent unlike the British waiter in the past who who clearly shows preference to the man at the table.
We love this neighborhood spot. Service was great. The food was outstanding!! We started with the delicious burratta and then my husband had strip steak and I had the kale salad with salmon. Definitely enough food—-but, of course, we got the brussels sprouts too. Worth it!!
John was our server and he truly went above and beyond for my mom's birthday dinner. Amazing food and overall just a wonderful experience. Can't wait to come back!
When I heard TVer was reopened on other side of the street Inwas not sure what am I walking into. But when I was walking out - Inwas sure I am coming back! Ambience is modern and on hot summer nights you feel like they are rocking Miami beat with bar below combining it with best Chicago steaks on tables above. We tried 4-5 steak places this week but Tavern is definitely on top of the list by being fresh and making you feel like a rock star

Was excited to try the reinvented Tavern on Rush as we were sad to see when it closed. Needless to say, we were disappointed in the reinvention. It feel like Nico's (former occupant of the space) with a rebrand. Steak sandwich was bland and bread was not fresh tasting. Fries not bad. Service was adequate and present, when present (not present most of the time). Bottom line, not sure I would choose Tavern on Rush when the Bellevue and other other restaurants in the area.
Great experience. Brought my teenage niece and her 4 friends. John, our waiter leaned in to help them enjoy the meal including making recommendations for meals, shareable sides and he even gave them a complimentary mocktail.
Not what it used to be. The food was subpar and the service was horrible. Our server only came by 3-4 times.
all hype. food terrible. Lettuce in salad was old and soggy. the half baked potato was clearly cooked hours before and the asparagus was pruney like it had been overcooked and cold as well. The ambience is great but that doesn't get you good food. Left feeling disappointed like I just wasted 100s of dollars when I could have gone across the street to Gibsons for better.
Wonderful evening at the Tavern on Rush. The upstairs dinning is more intimate and availing great view and opportunity to share a quiet conversation. The server team is great and provided excellent beverage pairing with each course. HIGHLY recommend the Tavern on Rush over the other two nearby steakhouses.
