I live nearby and had been meaning to check out this place, finally got around to it after almost a year and it's a fantastic neighborhood spot! Friendly folks of all backgrounds who go out of the way to chat you up, reasonable drink prices, cute dogs, nice bartender...what more could you ask for? I'll be back soon!

Cozy, laid back, and a lot of fun. All ages hang out here. Great music playing. Staff quick with your drink. A neighborhood staple. Regulars are very sweet and fun to chat with. Excellent beers on tap—I’m always learning of a new local drink. Dog friendly. The dogs are having fun, too!

To the bearded bartender we interacted with last night -My friends and I (group of 6) walked into this bar for the first time and initially liked the atmosphere and were happy to snag a table at this potentially new spot we could frequent. Unfortunately, that was negated when this bartender displayed an incredibly RUDE demeanor — the complete opposite of a "warm welcoming vibe."Only my boyfriend and I wanted to drink, so he went up to the bartender to ask for two beers. The bartender immediately responded aggressively with "I need to see all your IDs." That's fine and we understand that we need to show our IDs in a bar, but his tone was so aggressive and defensive for no reason! My boyfriend tried to show him his ID, but was once again met with very aggressive and rude wording.My boyfriend tried to calmly defuse the situation, and the bartender continued to be extremely rude, condescending and aggressive. After the bartender dismissed him, we immediately left. This bar is right down the street from me and I have been looking forward to going here. You all lost our business. Hire better bartenders who treat guests with respect.

Such a feel-good spot. Their dog-friendly bingo on Tuesdays would be reason enough to go, but add to that a warm atmosphere, sweet bartenders and regulars, good drink prices and the fact that you can order in food from other local establishments… templestowe was/is a cornerstone of our Chicago experience and we are so happy whenever we get to come back to town and visit. <3
