I've been to Testaccio twice now and both experiences were fantastic. Wonderful pasta and clearly very fresh fried calamari which is SO hard to find.

My boyfriend and I came in for a last minute dinner without a reservation and the hostess was able to seat us on the patio which we appreciated. We ordered the cacio e pepe and the focaccia, and they were both delicious! The cacio e Pepe was a little smaller than what you would receive at other restaurants, but it was just enough for one person, but I would keep that in mind if looking to share dishes.

Excellent in every detail. Unique food. Supreme service. And be sure to see Soif speakeasy in the basement.

Testaccio exceeded our expectations! The cuisine was superb, and the service was outstanding. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, and the pistachio gelato served as the perfect conclusion to our dining experience.

Dined here with a group of friends and I can say this was an authentic Italian cuisine.

Very accommodating of meatless and vegan preferences. The staff was attentive and polite. The ambiance and layout (tables and bar) are good for solo diners, pairs, and basically anything short of a large group. I tried the mushrooms, bucatini, and fried calamari, in decreasing order of quality, from excellent to good.

delicious wine options and friendly, talented staff. however, the food was underwhelming

I want to update my review. Management responded to my review and efficiently reviewed the matter and provided a solution. The Testaccio team demonstrated integrity and fairness to resolve the mistake. I also want to add that service during dinner was very thoughtful and helpful. Last, I want to reiterate the lamb skewers were extraordinarily tasty.

It was our first time at Testaccios, and we had a reservation as a group of 6 at about 8 o'clock. The table was half a table, half a booth, and it accommodated us all comfortably! The waitress was very friendly and gave some wonderful suggestions when we asked her what she recommended. She also made sure to ask about food allergies and/or sensitivity. The drinks and food also came out quickly. The only downside was that it was definitely a tad loud for our personal liking, at no fault to the restaurant, of course, It was just that busy with other people!! Overall, the atmosphere was great, and we loved the vibe!! We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like to try it out!Parking: We parked on the street about a block away.
