I've been to Testaccio twice now and both experiences were fantastic. Wonderful pasta and clearly very fresh fried calamari which is SO hard to find.
My boyfriend and I came in for a last minute dinner without a reservation and the hostess was able to seat us on the patio which we appreciated. We ordered the cacio e pepe and the focaccia, and they were both delicious! The cacio e Pepe was a little smaller than what you would receive at other restaurants, but it was just enough for one person, but I would keep that in mind if looking to share dishes.
Testaccio Chicago offers superb cuisine with outstanding service. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating to various dietary preferences. The restaurant has a good layout for solo diners or pairs, and the patio seating is a nice option. Dishes like cacio e pepe, focaccia, mushrooms, bucatini, and fried calamari are delicious choices. Conclude your meal with the perfect pistachio gelato for a delightful dining experience.
