Aberdeen has been and will always be one of my favorite neighborhood bars in the city. Their wings go toe to toe with just about any other location the city and the patio during summer is hard to beat. There are very few places in Chicago I tend to regularly return to, but this is always a top spot whenever I want to put back a couples of beers and enjoy a game with some friends.

Great food! Great drinks! Great service. 10/10. We order these mac and cheese bites that were amazing! Great spot for a drink or a whole meal! Great date spot, relaxed, great vibes!

Stopped in for a lunch and immediately entered a small, quaint bar. I heard through the grapevine their wings are good. So I had to try.

Started off with the potato skins which you don't find often in the city. LOVED these, perfect cheese and bacon. Wished they gave like 1-2 more skins.

Then got 2 orders of wings. I was hungry. 8ct of Mango Habenero and 8ct of Hot Buffalo. WOW. Delish. The mango habenero not hot, with that nice sweet touch. The hot buffalo did it for me. It's a thick sauce, perfect amount of heat, and had me wanting to eat more. Up there with Birds Nest and Toons for me.

Will be coming back for those hot buffalo wings.

Food is amazing here. The nachos are on wantons and stay crispy. They have some wild offerings and it is worth trying any of them.

To sum it up food is a strong hit or miss, The chef’s don’t know how to follow temperature instructions, (ie. Overcooked wings, Undercooked burger) .. the pic below is an example of a burger i bought from there my very first visit (Remind you, it was supposed to be medium WELL) I literally had to throw the burger back on the skillet . Typically I purchase the SAME Exact Thing (double burger with bacon that comes with fries” I’ve paid $25.42 my first visit, which is what I thought would be the cost for the burger, but nope.. the following times I paid $27 and some change the next, then after that visit I paid $25.42 again the visit after, $29, and most recent visit I was charged $31 and some change, by a waitress name Brenice(who was very rude and couldn’t keep her eyes out of the back of her head) ..

I spoke to Meg (very sweet) about this who was trying to deescalate the situation , and she told me that the price of the extras depend on the chef who is there on shift(which doesn’t make any sense because the business typically prices out the food not the chefs they just cook the food, considering she was the one who made the call on how much to charge me for the extra patty the last time without consulting chefs because she is a manager. )

I shouldn’t have to pay a different price on the same exact thing I get every single time I come. Chefs are rude every time I walk to the back and ask for my burger to be made medium well done. (First time here, a nice worker literally walked to the back and told them to make my burgers medium well done, and the ending result is this very picture you see below) .

I also didn’t like how Breniece’s behavior was defended because she worked there for a long time …that’s probably why Berniece feels like she can disrespect people and talk to them any type of way(common side effect of a long term employee who is comfortable and don’t think they’re replaceable)

Because of her behavior and because of the chefs attitude when I asked them for my burger to be made a certain way, I demanded a full refund because who wants to eat somewhere where the people serving and cooking your food has nasty attitudes .

Talk to your employees and managers .. A lot of people will take a L with food quality and peoples shitty attitudes because they have other things to do, and my time is precious too , but I am a Manager at a Fortune 500 company so I have no problem dedicating 10-15 minutes of my time writing this review about how inconsistent and sometimes incompetent your chefs can be .

Whoever added Gluten free buns to the menu deserves a raise 🙌🏼

Worst service ever! Everytime I come in I am unable to be assisted. The host or hostess is always very rude. 0/10 do recommend this place the service sucks!
