I’ve been to this bar many times for big celebrations (hosted multiple bachelorette parties and birthdays) and I’ve always had such great experiences, which made tonight SO disappointing!!!! I brought friends visiting from out of town, and the door staff were extremely rude and made inappropriate comments to my friend. It was embarrassing and uncomfortable enough that we immediately left from the door. Really disheartening experience at a place I used to love.

Bouncer is extremely rude and is on a power trip for a little bar lol. Probably won’t come back because that left such a bad taste in my mouth.

We reserved a table last night to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with friends and family . We have celebrated at the Basement and had a great time! Unfortunately, last night did not deliver and left us disappointed we celebrated there last night.
The problem, the band, they took more breaks than any live music group we have seen. And when they did come out they spent the majority of the time begging for tips and telling the audience this was the worst tip bucket they have ever had … it’s real easy, sing and people will tip you. As if that wasn’t enough disappointment, when they took breaks they left an unknown song n repeat … overall, not professional and certainly not worth paying a1500 table tab to see. If you’re paid to entertain, entertain.

What an amazing place and staff. This place is rocking and rolling every weekend. Whenever I’m in the city this is a must stop. The cocktails are delicious and the bartender are very knowledgeable. The band is always on point super entertaining! Make sure you get your girlfriend or wife the “Bathtub” served in a mini bathtub complete with a mini rubber ducky! If you are looking for a place to sing along till your little hearts content this is a must visit!

The entrance fee and drink prices were expensive. My phone also got stolen. Security helped out but not good enough to help me find my phone. It was very disappointing.

Cool place for the night. No bags allowed. Try to reserve a coach in advance.
