We had a wonderful time at the Berghoff! Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. The food was delicious. Thank you!

Food was definitely not the highlight. Jagermeister was not crispy at all and looked like it was just reheated. Potato pancakes looked like hash brown bricks deep fried and definitely not hand made. Spaetzel was the highlight of the meal but lacked flavor.

Visiting Chicago , on a very cold evening, we chose to stay close to our hotel. This is old timey place looked ok, frankly didn't expect much. To our surprise, food was outstanding! My grilled white fish dish with risotto as nd spinach, not only was delicious but beautifully prepared. My family members, had sausage trio and chicken schnitzel, every one enjoyed their meal. Dessert was a winner too! A great find !

Like the menu variety. Food was very good with great flavor. Recommend the smoked pork chop. Can't beat the location and restaurant's history. Our server was very friendly and our drinks were strong but not too strong. Just an overall great experience. Been here several times and will again.

Overall, the food was good. My husband enjoyed the sausages. We ordered the smoked pork chop, and it was enough for the two of us to split. The sauerkraut was good, but it had caraway seeds, which I am not a fan of. I picked the caraway out, and the flavor was good. My husband ordered the Mini Bratwurst and Knockwurst appetizer. It comes with German potato salad and kraut. He really liked it all. Two items I wouldn't order again were the pretzel and the bread basket. The pretzel was not made in-house and tasted like one you would get at a sporting event. It was huge, but not the quality I expected. The beer cheese and mustard were tasty. I assumed the bread basket would be freshly made bread, but I was wrong. If you want bread to eat with your sausages, order it; it is only $2. If you are looking for anything beyond bread from the grocery store, skip it and save the money. Put the $2 towards the Flourless Chocolate Cake, which was delicious.

Would change the music, otherwise, volume of music was good. Such a pleasant dining experience! Amazing food!

Everything about Berghoff is reliably good: the food, the service, the ambience. It's one of my "goto" places before the symphony.

We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. My dad has a disability and they were very accommodating and gave us a table in the corner and made everything very easy. Food was great and my parents were very happy as they've gone there over the years and used to take us before the Marshall fields windows back in the day.

Devin was a delightful server. Friendle, efficient and responded to some questions by going to the chef (seafood soup ingredients).

We came after seeing Phantom so it was early. The food was superb and enough for another meal.

Enjoyed food & experience. Did not care for extra 3% added on to offset costs. Raise your prices if that's the case.

Whenever I'm downtown I try to get over to Berghoffs. Great German food, consistently perfect!!! Will be back soon!!

I enjoyed the veal schnitzel and the creamed spinach with spaetzle and a root beer. Service was great

The food was fantastic, and the waiter was very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that we had to ask a few times to get more water. All three of our glasses were empty.

Love the Berghoff. All that history, Chicago and in our family. Food and service were great. Nice mix of old standards and new dishes. Plus the place is just gorgeous.
