Absolutely incredible experience!
We came in to celebrate a milestone, and the staff went above and beyond. The food was exceptional, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere made the night truly memorable. A special shoutout to Shannon, the GM, for making us feel so welcomed and cared for.

I highly recommend The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant — not just for their exquisite food, but for their exceptional team and service.

⭐ A Game Day Gem: The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant ⭐

Boasting a proud and resilient history, The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant at 1401 South Michigan Avenue continues to honor its roots as the former Engine Company 104 of the Chicago Fire Department by delivering a truly memorable, guest-first dining experience. Every detail—from the warm hospitality to the thoughtful menu—reflects the character and charm of this iconic landmark.

We kicked off our Chicago game day with their Game Day Brunch this past Sunday, and it was the perfect start. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, the brunch selections were outstanding, and the cocktails were exactly what you want on a Sunday morning in the city. Every one of us walked away impressed.

In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we returned after the Bears game for drinks and dinner. The dinner menu was exceptional. A special mention goes to the meatloaf platter—comfort food at its finest—which four of us ordered without hesitation. After an afternoon at Soldier Field, it hit the spot perfectly and absolutely did not disappoint.

Our server, Paul, deserves recognition as well. His professionalism, attentiveness, and warm personality elevated the entire experience from great to unforgettable.

Highly recommended for brunch, dinner, or a full game day lineup—The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant is truly a must-visit when in Chicago.

8/9 The Firehouse Restaurant is one of my favorites in Chicago!
Unfortunately my dinner Saturday night was terrible. I ordered the Halibut it was served raw on the inside of the center cut.
I had taken a bite without looking at the fish.
The inside was like jello.
I was seated at the bar and after 10 minutes the Halibut came out it was cooked correctly.
When the check came $167.00 the bartender said Oh sorry about the Fish. Really? Needless to say undercooked Halibut can cause many health problems.
Terrible

A truly personal experience!
We were warmly welcomed on our Anniversary for dinner and had the most amazing experience! Our waiter Carlos was superb and made sure every aspect of our meal was perfection!
We had a preset menu with some of the best of those items we have ever experienced! The dinner rolls were light and dangerously delicious, the lobster bisque was the best lobster anything we've ever had, the wedge salad had the most amazing dressing (and I don't even like blue cheese!), the steaks were cooked beautifully, and our dessert put us over the edge!
The servings were generous, nobody could eat it all...wish we could've taken home leftovers.
A perfect spot for a special celebration....we loved every moment!

It is upscale but worth the price. The meal from start to finish was delicious with an excellent drink choice and wine list. The ambiance of an old restored fire house made it all the better.

Excellent location and great staff. Our table split apps, I had the calamari, meatball, and French onion soup. All were absolutely amazing. The steak was excellent, however the Mac n cheese was a little runny for my taste. Either way, this place is a must visit while in town. Oh, the carrot cake was amazing.

One of the best steaks I've ever had!
The building is historic (was a real firehouse before) and very elegantly decorated. The main entrance wall is covered by white tiles made by Tiffany!! The service was amazing, very nice staff. The food was really delicious, everything we tried were amazing.

Shannon and Ivan are amazing! I had a small issue with one of my orders, and they handled it with so much care and professionalism. They took accountability right away and made it right—and honestly, that kind of service is rare to find these days. Mistakes happen, it’s how you handle them that really matters, and they went above and beyond.

Also, the burger and lamb were absolutely delicious! Huge thanks to everyone at Chicago Firehouse for making my dining experience such a great one. I’ll definitely be back!
