I am very grateful they didn't get my order right. I ended up with a version of deconstructed beast fries. Turns out I like pickled jalapeños but when I saw what it was supposed to look like, I am sure I would have gotten sick. The burger was gooey. I was hungry, so it was good... but it is a bar with a burger and fries. So go there to drink, not necessarily eat.

After walking past this place almost every day on my way to work I finally dropped in. The smash burger wasn’t fully smashed and wasn’t overly flavorful. I also couldn’t taste the jalapeños at all. The burger as a whole just tasted like a typical smash burger (meat, cheese, sauce, and pickles) with nothing sticking out. On the side, the fries were battered which gave them a good crisp, however, they weren’t hot or tasty.

Came here for the burger and the burger delivered. We were able to walk in and get a table for 2 right away on a Saturday during lunch. The vibes are excellent and the service was fast and hospitable. Would definitely come back again. I also liked the touch of the menu being on a VHS case.
Solid neighborhood feel to the bar, but man is this burger overrated. It’s good, but more in an “I’m in the area and want a decent burger” way. Don’t understand why it’s on so many lists. So many better places for a smash burger.

Was there a few months ago (so someone let me know if they changed their business practice and I’ll update my review). For now, I will certainly not go back. Got take out and the burger + fries were actually decent although overpriced. But they still charge you a 20% service charge on takeout which they don’t tell you about AND aggressively ask for tips on top?! That’s shady at best! I was even thinking of reporting it via the consumer protection form at the AGs office as well.
