I came at 10:05 AM on Saturday. I was pretty excited to try this place. It’s a shame that this is a common experience for little spots like this anymore.
I used to live in Chicago but have not for almost 20 years. My loved the Fish Keg when I was growing up & used to take me every once in a while. Came back to visit family and had to stop in and get some fish chips before I left. It tastes just like I remember. Staff is very nice as well.
It’s so nice that the Fish Keg is still around after all these years. It’s one of those places that really makes me miss being a kid and living on the North Side of Chicago.

Five stars for service food and atmosphere. It’s great. When me and the guys at Sherman Dodge buy from the fish keg, they always take care of us! 👌👍✌️

Was coming here when I was in high school, don't get out to Howard St anymore but if I am in the area definitely a place I have to hit. 1/2 Lb of shrimp
always hits the spot.🍤

Quality of food has gone down considerably. Fried shrimp was dry and had an off taste, both creamy and vinegar and oil coleslaw tasted old. The medium size shrimp was heavily coated ( hiding size of shrimp?) Won't go again after supporting the business for over 50 years. Can't recommend them.
It's not good at all. Expensive very disappointed. Go across the street to ALS THE FRY FISH AND ITS DELICIOUS MUCH LESS MONEY.
