Man, ef this place. I got yelled at twice trying to get a beer at the bar, once because I was in the way of the servers and once because I had a server in the back room where we were seated. Okay, my bad, but then when leaving I got the talking to again when I tried to give someone our leftover fries… why can’t I give away the food I paid for? And the $13 premade old fashioned… weak and shitty. Remember when dive bars were affordable?
Super nice Irish pub with very good variety of beers. The Surley Mosh Hazy IPA is very good, slightly fruity. The hamburguers were also delicious and with a good size.
Walk into the green door and have yourself a nice old fashioned. Classy, dim, beautifully decorated haunt.

I’ve been to Green Door Tavern before, but never had a bartender like autumn . I was in town again on a business trip and decided to stop by — best decision I made all week. She completely changed the vibe. Fast with the pours, smooth with the banter, and just straight-up fun to be around.
She’s got that rare mix of professionalism and personality that makes you feel like a regular even if you’re just passing through. Drinks were perfect, service was sharp, and her energy pulled the whole room together.
Autumn raised the standard — hands down the best bartender I’ve had there. If she’s behind the bar, you’re in for a damn good time. 💯🔥🍸

I came in for a quiet “bachelorette” weekend with my fiancé, since we had just gotten engaged. We got to visit my family in Wheaton and then got to come up and had the pleasure of meeting Autumn. Will definitely be back and will definitely recommend to all of my family here in Chicago as well as other people that come into town that I send. Thanks for such a great time!
