This place is full of retro stuff! We went for drinks only and stepped back in time. A must place to go for an old fashion drinking place.

Classic Chicago bar, which needs visiting at least once in a while by everyone. Just a great vibe and feel that you need to check out.

My partner and I visited your restaurant last night for dinner, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. I have worked in the restaurant industry for many years, so I truly understand how challenging and demanding this job can be, and I deeply respect the hard work of servers and bartenders. However, I feel that the behavior of the bartender we interacted with was unprofessional and unacceptable.
From the beginning of the evening, there were several issues. After ordering our first drink, my boyfriend asked for a second one, but the bartender gave no acknowledgment or response. The food we received was served cold, and when the second drink was finally brought to our table, the bartender placed the glass down very aggressively, hitting it against the table.
When it came time to pay, we were first given one amount on the check, and then charged a different amount, without any explanation or apology. The issue was not about the forgotten second drink, but rather the lack of communication, accountability, and courtesy. When we calmly asked about the difference in the charge, the bartender rudely argued with us, raising his voice instead of addressing the concern professionally. He showed no willingness to resolve the issue and eventually told us to leave the restaurant.
I am writing not out of anger, but because I believe in giving honest feedback in the hope that it can improve the experience for future guests. I kindly ask that the manager or owner contact me regarding this matter. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss it further.
great!

Been to this restaurant a few times and enjoyed the food and service. Unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. The waitress was rude from the moment we sat down. Her attitude was disrespectful and disappointing. I asked if we could get pencils to go with the colouring page on the table and the waitress ignored my request. She walked away before we had finished ordering. We won’t be going back there again.

Green Door is a great iconic Chicago tavern. Food is hit or miss. For example, Scotch Eggs were great. Deviled Eggs weren't anything special. Grilled cheese was ok. Brisket on pretzel bun was incredible.
