Been here many times for their brunch (literally the best brunch in Chicago) and wanted to try dinner out! It was good, I think I prefer their brunch though. Great service as always!!
A treat for all of the senses! My introduction to The Gundis was a Sunday breakfast. What a beautiful feast was laid before me, my husband and a local friend who we were visiting. We ordered the Kurdish breakfast for two plus an order of baklawa crêpes. An array of colorful, tantalizingly-scented dishes soon filled our table. Superb savory and sweet flavors awaited our taste buds. All of us were amazed by the diverse deliciousness. The atmosphere and service were also excellent....
Food and service were excellent. We had the red lentil soup, sampler appetizer (hummus, baba ganoush, octopus salad, ezme) stuffed chicken, lamb shank, crusted isot salmon, and eggplant stew with lamb. Every dish was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. I was also impressed at the wine list, which was a well-thought through selection to pair with the dishes without being overwhelmingly long. They also have a nice selection of beers. We will definitely be back. My only concern...
