The Hampton Social - River North

My wife and I were married in the Hamptons. I found this Hamptons-themed spot and felt that it was a great place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was great. The service was great. What was not great was the techno playing the entire time. It was the only thing that jarringly didn't fit the Hamptons vibe they are so close to nailing. It was only a one-off visit so we will go back to see if they have found their inner yacht rock. Or just so I can try their fish tacos. Either way, I really like this place. And 4 out of 5 ain't bad.

Menu was not good for those that eat gluten free. Waiter did not know which dishes were gluten free or could be modified.

Beautiful interior with large, open windows to make you feel "outside" while in. The food is delicious, drinks sparkle, and the vibe is great. Our service was sub par for what we know from Hampton Social - no check in after the food arrived and we needed a sauce, and when dessert arrived it took 10 minutes to get forks. Would have been nice to have a second beverage, but our server must have been busy (the restaurant was not busy at 11am on Labor Day). We'll be back but hope the service improves.

Absolutely delicious food! Light yummy and shareable. I feel I need to go back 10xs to try everything that sounded good. I had the coconut crispy tofu and highly recommended it! 3 words - BANANA CREAM PIE!!! Service was great! Prices were not badvat all. 4 of us with drinks, appetizers, main and Banana Cream Pie with 19% automatic tip was just under $300 (we added more tip well because it was deserved). I honestly can't think of one thing I'd suggest changing or anything negative. Oh the women's bathroom had a very wet counter top. That's typical and only thing I can give less than stellar.

Great place for a beautiful summer day. Came here with a friend from out of town with his 1 year old daughter. They had to move us to a lower table for the high chair to work but was no problem. Shrimp tacos were yummy with shells that were just hard enough for shape and added texture.

As always I had a wonderful experience. The food was hot and fresh. The service was amazing. I had the steak frites. My steak was cooked perfectly. My fries were crispy and delicious. I have an allergy and the staff was very easy to work with in terms of finding something on the menu that I could eat without a lot of modification. Can't wait to go back!

My reservation was at “slow” time for the restaurant, and the young server was assigned other duties while serving. We didn't need much from her. But her absence was conspicuous enough for us to tell her so. She listened and was contrite.

All good, except same comment from my last visit: one has to ask for and wait for serving spoons for shared plates. Even when waiter informed upon ordering that we will be sharing everything. Only one of three dishes came with the serving spoon. We asked two separate people for a serving spoon and waited a bit we got spoons. Last month, no serving spoons were provided, so at least it's an improvement that we received one serving spoon this visit.

Great for brunch with live music. I like the summer vibe and decor. The Gatsby breakfast was a perfect combo of: eggs, brioche French toast, bacon and tatter tots. They gave us a free birthday dessert and I'm not usually into donuts but it was SO good.

Enjoyed a business lunch. Our server was great. The food was a little slow coming out, but everything was hot and tasty.

We came for National Oyster Day and they were out of oysters. I was disappointed at that fact but the food we did order was good as well as the service.

Our server was sweet and personable as we sat right next to the window with the sun beaming in. Lovely experience. Beautiful ambiance for a relaxing dinner.
