The Hi-Lo offers a wonderful atmosphere, perfect for celebrations and everyday gatherings. The staff is wonderful, providing great service and attention to detail. The drinks are well-crafted and delicious, with popular favorites like the "slurpy durpy" cocktail and the Hilo Highball, which is super refreshing. The restaurant also features a beautiful patio, larger than the inside space, with covered areas and its own bar, making it a great spot for a drink on a warm day or night. The patio area is great in the summer, and the roofed area is warm in the winter. Giovanni is a gem and creates a great family atmosphere. It's a great place to talk and catch up with friends, with fairly priced beers and amazing cocktails like the Honeydew Crusher and espresso martini. The ambiance is great, though the outside door should stay closed to keep the campfire smell from coming inside. You can even bring your own food, like a large tip-link combo from Lem’s, and pair it with a mild sauce cocktail.
