Not actually open for breakfast - because the geniuses running midway decided to only staff it with two people during the breakfast rush hour all while the “state of the art” food court is still closed, the kitchen closes (no hot food, no drinks) from 8:30-10:30…

Is it a convenience store? Is it a restaurant? It's definitely not a restaurant. OK, it's a convenience store that specializes in food, plus there are some things that they "make to order."There, are you happy?Midway is a pretty bad place to eat at the moment. The main food court after security (unhelpfully and confusingly called Central Market) is under major construction, so even if you do find decent food somewhere, there aren't many plain old tables to eat at.So even if you get your made-to-order--ha!--food from a place like The Market (which isn't located in the part of the airport known as Central Market, for those of you keeping score at home), where are you going to eat it?At your gate, or at another less-crowded gate. Why so few tables, Midway? But I promise these two stars apply only to The Market, which is overpriced in an airport-expected way but whose stickers nevertheless shock. Plus it's laid out strangely. Why do you order where you order and pay where you pay? Who designed this place? Probably the same person who came up with the creative and not-at-all-descriptive name The Market.

Terrible drip coffee. Had no latte drinks, sandwiches, pastries in stock that was on the menu.

I can’t even comment on the food because I didn’t have any. The lady who takes orders, took the Caucasian lady who was in front of me order and ignored me when I stepped up. I even greeted her just in case she didn’t see me. She didn’t even look at me & continued making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Very rude. Will never patronize & will encourage others not to as well.

This place is terrible, the employees are rude, for some reason there's 2 of them there but neither of them can scoop ice cream and they were out of everything else.

Menu describes "crispy bacon" on the egg cheese and bacon bagel. The very chipper blonde lady then puts raw uncooked bacon on top of the egg and bagel into an oven for 2 mins, ( I asked her if it was raw bacon and she said yes) I don't know at what temp, though I tried to look. The bacon came out crispy on the edges but not in the middle, the nice lady let me look at my bagel and the bacon was still very pink and white in coloration. I declined. Just a heads up the bacon in by no means is "crispy". $5 for a 16.9 fluid ounce Pellegrino

Terrible service, the gal who rang me up was rude. Wouldn't sell me the kids meal without my kid being present, so had to get him first so I could pay for his food. Grilled cheese was terrible, a couple slices of cheese on cheap bread. I've had better in school cafeterias.

Had a turkey panini, I suspect made yesterday. One side toasted stale white bread, questionable "turkey", a piece of cheese and a spinach leaf. No condiments. Get a sandwich from the news shop instead.

Went to get a quick bite and ordered the muffeletta sandwich. It was the most expensive, likely because of the olive spread. They took pre-made sandwiches, tossed them in the microwave and then proceeded to had it to me without the olive spread (a highlight of the sandwich). When I asked about it, the lady was rude and essentially told me I could use mustard packets from next door.I also brought up that it was missing to the cashier who said, "oh well".I wish I had read the reviews previous to walking in. Probably the most expensive, most horrible food option I'd had to endure. It is a shame to the airport, the city, and the mayor for allowing such horrible experiences to be the lead in showing what Chicago is all about.
