Right now there is construction at the entrance to this watering hole and restaurant but inside operations are unaffected. This is a spacious place that quickly fills up at happy hour and later. The menu is not huge and not particularly innovative, but everything was cooked well and carefully presented. Our server was exceptionally pleasant and courteous. From most of the dining area you have to look at huge television screens, but this is still a good place to meet, drink, and eat.
Colleagues and I went across the street for a casual get together. The bartender/server was Carter and he was fantastic. He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and at no time did we feel rushed. The food came out quickly and was very good. I plan on returning to this restaurant in the near future.
Great food, great service, but pretty crowded and noisy. It's a good sign that it's so popular (appropriately so) but I'm so glad I made a reservation beforehand and would definitely recommend making a reservation if you can!
We had great service and the food was delicious! They really took the time to make it a special night for us!
The experience was totally fine EXCEPT I specifically asked for food with no cheese due to an allergy and knew something was wrong when I received the bill and there was an extra charge for cheese. Low and behold, I was sick for several hours. Thanks Marq.
My wife always orders the Salmon Florentine. I like Fish and Chips, but I wasn't sure I wanted something that heavy last night. It wasn't. The Fish and Chips was a light dish—not greasy. The filet was topped with an aioli and a cilantro mint sauce, and the potatoes were wedges instead of fries. Nice.
Great service, atmosphere and service. I would definitely recommend and will be going back.
Tried the sliders this time. Most restaurants "phone-in" their slider recipes, but these were really flavorful—miniature versions of the full-sized sandwiches on the menu. Great if you don't want an entire entree but still want good food.
Get the chilaquiles or French toast for breakfast! So so good

I work across the street and went in for lunch with a coworker this past Friday for the first time. I ordered the Marq burger and he ordered the Chicken Milanese. Both were delicious. We were very impressed. It is a little pricey, but you have to think location and it was very worth it! The hostess was very friendly, our server was great, and even down to the busser. Great service and nice clean space. My coworker told others in the office about it. We couldn't stop talking about how great our lunch was. We will definitely be back!

Okay this place is good. Our favorites are the Marq burger and the carnitas tacos. Staff we interacted with were extremely friendly, and food was prepared quickly.

I Was Just Denied Service From Liz Here At The Marq Restaurant Downtown Chicago.
I Was Asked “Where’s My Cash” She Refused To Serve Me Even After She PREAUTHORIZED My Card.
All I Ordered Was An Expresso Martini…
Such Great Hospitality.
