Our bartender Alex was an amazing bartender. Our drinks were made with love and tasted amazing. Highly recommend stopping in. Very friendly customers and amazing hard working bartenders. I will definitely be coming back to the six penny bit.

Great little spot to hang out with friends and family! Live music on Fridays. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Prices are moderate, decent street parking, and friendly locals. Has a party room for rent. I'm not sure if they serve food.

A good old Irish bar
TERRIBLE experience & STRANGE behavior: Entered as a group of 4 on Monday 8/19 around 930pm hoping to play pool and darts & ring in my birthday at midnight. Place was empty. Only 1 bar guest. But he left moments after we arrived.
We entered, all said hello (to no response from the bartender), and headed toward the pool table straight ahead. I sat at the bar top ready to order for everyone, meanwhile my friend peeked her head through the door frame directly beside the pool table thinking that was the room with darts (it wasnât, we had accidentally passed that doorway/ area. I noticed it on our way out, lights were off - understandable for a Monday). But again, my friend had only looked. She didnât even go through the door frame. Immediately the bartender sharply says âwhat are you guys doing snooping around?â I say âwe were wondering where the darts were. I havenât been here in yearsâ. She says âwell donât snoop around! You going out to smoke or something? To smoke weed?â We say ââŚNo?? We just didnât know the layout of this place. I was hoping to play both things tonightâ.
Then she says âwell itâs cash onlyâ. I turn to my group and we show our wallets of cash. She says, for a THIRD time, âwell how about you donât go into places you donât belongâ. And again I say âMiss, we werenât doing anything weird. We entered and have been ready to order⌠Iâm sorry we didnât know where the darts wereâŚ.â
At this point, my group insists we leave since we werenât wanted and sheâs getting increasingly aggressive in tone. When walking out, my brother says âwhy be so rude?â. She stayed quiet. The moment we exit, she closed the front door of the bar behind us. We were speechless.
We have NO IDEA what we did wrong. I was genuinely excited to ring in my birthday there. Google says they close at 2am. She closed the door on us at 930 without serving us. We werenât acting nor dressed suspiciously (I was in a sun dress, for example). We all made note that she was behaving oddly; such as scratching her scalp and wincing a bit. I donât know if she had been drinking/ was drunk or if she didnât like our skin tone or what. It was extremely shocking and upsetting & uncalled for. Why randomly assume we smoke weed??? (We donât) Why use language like âsnoopingâ and ânot belongingâ????
I bartended/ worked in the industry for 15+ years. A proper response would have been âare you looking for the bathroom?â Or âwhat can I help you find?â Not immediately being accusatory and rude⌠and even after we explained twice, she still couldnât move on and just serve us.
I currently work at a local school & they were fans of this place but I told them what happened today and now thatâs changed due to this experience. We were going to go there as a group soon but agreed to go elsewhere instead to avoid another instance of total unwelcomeness.

Nicely run bar. Most of the times owner themselves run it. Great service. They just need to fix their pool table for unusual travel of ball sometimes. Other than that, it's great spot by all means
