Thomas Restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere and delightful dining experience, making it a popular spot in the neighborhood. The food is consistently praised, with highlights including the bacon and turkey club sandwich, as well as breakfast options like grits, shrimp, and pancakes. Customers appreciate the wheelchair accessibility and convenient parking. The interior is classic and traditional with a homey atmosphere and ole skool music. Excellent meals are made fresh, including awesome omelets, liver with onions rice and eggs, and chicken cooked as ordered. The service is very neighborly and the place is clean. It is the only place worth eating at in the whole 8th ward. Overall, Thomas Restaurant is a reliable choice for satisfying meals in a comfortable setting, with friendly service and a classic decor that transports diners back to the 1960s. Recent specials like Catfish & Spaghetti and Chicken & Rice soup have received high marks for quality and flavor, making it a must-visit for locals.
