Tiny sushi spot serving up the freshest and best sushi in Lincoln Park, and definitely top 3 sushi in all of Chicago.

There is usually a wait since the place is so small, but we walked in and sat no problem on a Thursday at 6p.

We ordered The Big 10 role (5/5), the Spicy Panda (5/5) and a Philadelphia roll (5). Each was very unique and you can tell how fresh the fish is.

I used to come more often and I'm glad to see this place is still serving amazing sushi.

As a sushi connoisseur of having tried many sushi restaurants throughout Chicago, I must say that Toro makes extremely flavorful maki rolls with interesting pairings of sauces, ingredients and condiments. The selling point is their fish and roe of the rolls I’ve tried are all quite fresh without any fishy flavor. If you tend to heavier salty flavors, this is your place! Tried their Salmon Twist and Halloween at your visit!

I got this for takeout and was so shocked at how incredible the quality of the fish was. Really fun rolls. I’m not gonna order takeout from anywhere else.

I would go to Toro for years when I lived in Chicago. I bragged to anyone going to Chicago that Toro was a must go stop for sushi. I’m embarrassed to think this was their experience. I am positive there must be new ownership. We couldn’t even finish the last roll it wasn’t worth the effort.

Came in on a Friday night unplanned as a different restaurant I had in mind was closed. The space was charming and had cute decor. It’s a bit small for a party, but perfect for a casual date night with my partner!

We ordered miso soup to start, a salmon hand roll, the Mango Mango Roll, the Spring Blossom and the Yum Yum Yummy. The miso soup was alright, but the rolly were delicious. The mango was sweet and the fish in the rolls were fresh. I would recommend this place and come back :)

Such a good neighborhood spot. My boyfriend and I went here twice on our week visit to Chicago. We appreciate that they took a lot of care for his gluten allergy.

We live down the street and have gotten take out many times. I don’t know if they changed chefs within the last few months but the quality is seriously declining. We’re in the middle of our dinner as I type this and absolutely nothing is fresh. The rice is gummy and our rolls are falling apart. The size of the shrimp in our shrimp tempura is thinner than than the width of a pencil. The price no longer justifies the value here. Taking my business to Sushi Hall instead.
