First time trying this place. Went at 2:30am they were closing at 3 AM and I wondered whether the food wouldn’t be as good because it was so late. BUT in fact, the tacos were excellent!!! Oh so delicious !! the El Pastor taco incredible my new favorite and then I enjoyed the Tontonilco special I will be back!! I need to try other tacos. Yet another reason I love Chicago food scene.

This is my go-to taqueria in Pilsen. They're open late, the food and staff are great. Cash only!!

I absolutely love this place. A go-to for tacos when I have a hankering. I’m also a huge fan of their licuados. I’m partial to fresa.

Excellent food. Really hits the spot. Al pastor, chorizo, and the house Atotonilco taco are all 5 stars.

The meats did not have flavor, the hot sauce was missing the hot. The tortilla was greasy and semi hard shell. The hour long bus ride was not worth it. I would suggest to not have tacos in Chicago or at least not here. There was nothing authentic about the food. A big skip for this small chain of tacos.

The best in the city...
I came by to try their lengua, atotonilco, and fish taco. Its cash only straight to business taqueria with plenty of seatings in the back. I enjoy the lengua taco, the other two are okay. Will need to try al pastor upon return!

The food was excellent. The 1st time I went to on of there locations was over 20yrs ago on 26 street. They never fail and this location is the same. Cook your food in front of you and it is always flavorful. Keep up the excellent quality of food.

Tacos have gotten expensive, not only that. It was lunch time it was dead. This place is usually hoping. I guess we'll look back on this day, and hopefully remember it, that people were afraid to go out because of ICE, massive deportations. Ruining the economy, that's for sure. Sad. The price is my only complaint.

Great nostalgic place in Pilsen. Sticker shock for taco prices though! Once I got past that, great food. Wish they had more sides, but whatever. Had steak tacos, my kids had quesadillas. Parking can get tight if busy.

The tacos taste amazing. They might fall apart on you but if you're looking for elegance go to Versailles. Al pastor and asada are great, so is picadillo but that'll be a little messy. The salsas are just right. On another trip I got a torta de milanesa de res. Definitely good, but the tacos are better. Excellent arroz con leche and addictive licuados con huevo. Yes, the put a raw egg in there. Embrace it. Haven't tried the fresh juices yet, but will next visit which will be soon.

The tacos are a bit expensive ($4.50) but are delicious! Reminds me of taquerias in Mexico.

Been a favorite since childhood. Just one little dislike! Recently changed their salsa! Favorite part was always their salsa. Lost some of the kick witch I guess was the point but also affected the flavor

It was good, but was very expensive for the amount of food you get. The torta was tasty but overpriced. I'd skip this place.
