Food quality and preparation excellent as always. Service as good as can be expected with what appears to be an overworked group of servers. First time presence of owner's wife was memorable. She was pleasant, welcoming, courteous and genuinely concerned that all diners weee enjoying themselves. Hope she makes more repeat appearances.

We return here for the food. We haven't yet ordered a menu item that wasn't perfectly cooked and delicious, down to the fine little details. Portions leave you glad you came and not overstuffed. Plan to stay awhile. The service is slow, perhaps at a pace you'd find in Italy. Why rush good food? Leave room for the sorbet!

Delicious food on the beautiful patio. Service was a little slow but it seems that they were understaffed. It was fine because we had sufficient time to get to the theater. My branzino was great. Aperol spritz was pretty weak. All in all a lovely evening.

Perfect night for dining on the outdoor patio, that had plenty of shade. Right across the street from Steppenwolf Theater. Service was friendly and attentive and we enjoyed our selections.
The outdoor patio was lovely, we had a great experience we got spiedini and linguini clams both were delicious.we ended up getting a nice and huge tiramisù

Very welcoming and gentle. They made us feel like old friends when it was our first visit. We chose the location because we were going to the theatre but will definitely go there again. The food was perfect and served hot and hearty. It was quiet enough for us to have a conversation. We had some of the daily specials and all were excellent. Our server bartender was attentive to our timing for the theatre and all was quietly and professionally managed. We decided to be seated inside (it was a very warm night) although the outdoors was an option. It was cooler and quieter inside. Perfetto!

Watered down drinks (which you have to wait forever for). Have to order whole meal at the same time - can’t order apps and then wait. Pasta and sauce have zero taste - stuff out of a can from Mariano’s is better! The basil pasta topping was shredded like from a bag from the corner grocery store. And they have a 3% CC processing fee so pay cash ??… not to mention I’m still hungry and the portions are small. Don’t get the calamari or any apps. Actually … just go elsewhere!

Apart from the fact that I had to send back my incredibly overcooked duck, it was the worst I've ever had. Fatty, stringy, tasteless. The “balsalmic reduction” was just a puddle of balsalmic vinegar. There's a reason it has tables available to reserve on Thursday for seven on Friday.
