Way overpriced! The stagging was good to trap Indian sentiments with decor! Other than that, food and quality was way below expectations! Restaurant is a difficult business with profitsharing with chef etc. This is trash for money!
What an amazing experience! We were visiting Chicago and craving authentic Kerala food, and Trilokah absolutely exceeded our expectations. We ordered several dishes, including chattichoru, chatti porotta and fish pollichathu, and other items… everything was absolutely delicious and tasted so authentic. Even my husband, who is North Indian, loved the food!

I had the wonderful opportunity of having dinner at this amazing place yesterday and it was truly a memorable experience. The food was on point in terms of authenticity and flavor. The staff were very warm, welcoming and kind. They did a great job accommodating requests like reducing the spice levels for my non Indian wife. They really work hard to make this place feel like home away from home.

Trilokah Kerala and South Indian Restaurant offers an authentic Kerala food experience in Chicago. Guests have ordered dishes including chattichoru, chatti porotta, fish pollichathu, Veg Thali, Pothichoru, Biriyani, Chicken kondattam, and Fried rice. The Pothichoru came with fish curry, two pieces of fried fish, an omelette, and a few other sides, and was a highlight with comforting Kerala-style flavor. The Veg Thali came with a nice variety of South Indian side dishes. The food was described as delicious, authentic, and on point in terms of authenticity and flavor. The staff were warm, welcoming, and kind, accommodating requests like reducing spice levels. The owner was warm and welcoming and suggested dishes. Some reviews mention quantity is very less, Biriyani tasted like tomato rice, Chicken kondattam was mostly bones, slow service, and self service with a stack of cups and plates. Others feel it is overpriced and pricey, with Onam sadhya at $45 and $102 for two people after taxes. The 2024 Onam sadhya was very good, but the 2026 Onam sadhya was very average. Overall, it is worth trying for authentic Kerala food.
