Had a terrible experience here yesterday. The server, Armando, was extremely rude and short with us. We asked about the $1 oysters and noted that the menu does not make a differentiation between grilled and raw oysters. Grilled oysters aren’t included in happy hour. He tells us “well you ordered them already and I told you when you ordered” which I understand but it was simply a note. Then we asked how many wings come in a regular order of wings (since it was 4 of us, we wanted to see if the happy hour was worth it or if we should just get a the dinner menu size). He continually cuts us off saying “the minimum for happy hour wings is 6” without letting us fully ask our question. After a few moments of back and forth, I just let him talk and then I finally had a chance to ask my question fully and he says “oh I didn’t know that’s what you were asking” because he was not actively listening. Additionally, 2 of us ordered the same drink and they tasted very different so we wanted to send one back, he visibly gets an attitude and rolls his eyes. We asked the lady at the bar for a manager because at this point, the disrespect was egregious. She tells me that the manager is never there so she can’t bring anyone over. I’m not sure how a business can run with no manager, ever… but I can believe it seeing how the staff treats patrons. I never ever leave $0 for a tip but this was unacceptable. Considering the climate that we’re in currently, I can’t help but wonder if this is a safe space for 4 black working women to be treated with respect and shown simple courtesy. Beware before choosing this place.

The happy hour at this spot offers a decent selection of menu items, including oysters, wings, and tacos that seem designed for a lively atmosphere. The oysters, in particular, are a favorite and fresh, while the lobster rolls add a nice touch of variety. The drink menu is also broad, with options like sangria and espresso martinis that are perfect for unwinding after a long day.

However, despite the appealing menu, the experience was underwhelming due to the slow and inattentive service. Staff seemed to lack urgency and attentiveness, leading to delays and a lack of follow-up throughout the meal. This was disappointing, especially during a busy happy hour where timely service is essential to keep the energy up. Even when we asked to speak with the manager, the response felt lukewarm, which unfortunately added to the feeling of being overlooked as a guest.

While the prices were reasonable for the quality, and the menu offers some enjoyable items, the service experience made it difficult to fully appreciate the setting. Improvement in staff attentiveness and overall service would greatly enhance the potential of this otherwise appealing happy hour destination

Vegetarian options: The menu includes a selection of vegetarian-friendly items, such as salads and vegetable-based dishes, catering to those seeking meat-free options

Dietary restrictions: The establishment is accommodating to various dietary restrictions, offering gluten-free and dairy-free options. It’s advisable to inform the staff of any specific dietary needs to ensure a suitable dining experience.

Parking: Located in a busy area, parking can be challenging. There are some street parking spots, but nearby parking garages or ride-sharing services may be more convenient, especially during peak hours.

Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it suitable for families. The menu offers items that appeal to children, and the lively environment can be enjoyable for all ages

Wheelchair accessibility: The establishment is wheelchair accessible, with ramps and spacious seating areas that accommodate mobility needs. The layout allows for easy navigation, ensuring comfort for all guests.

At a loss for words… and oysters, too, apparently. Showed up to this self proclaimed oyster bar only to be told they are out of oysters. Our server went to the back to check, and then came back to tell us that we could only order them in batches of 6. Advertising $1 oysters on your happy hour menu sounds great, but there were only four of us, and we only wanted four oysters. So why wouldn’t there be a clause on the menu stating that the minimum is 6? We ordered the whipped feta, truffle fries, and some tacos. Tacos at an oyster bar??? You know what, sure. I tried to order a steak Caesar, only to be told they did not have steak. I decided against the Caesar all together, but they brought it out. I asked them to take it away because I did not order that and they included it on my bill anyway. The feta was not whipped in any sense and we were skeptical that it was even feta (See attached). The “truffle” fries were just sprinkled with parm parsley and pepper. The ketchup side was criminal. Hello??? My friends and I were completely confused with our entire experience here.

Went here for there $1 oyster happy hour and they did not disappoint! I was accidentally overcharged but they ended up comping the whole meal. I appreciate a business that goes above and beyond to ensure their customers are satisfied. Food and drinks were delicious and our server was a dear. I was apprehensive with all the other lower rating but my group enjoyed!

Happy hour drinks are really good and quality is there. Oysters were not fresh and super fishy. I had food poisoning 4 hours after getting home yesterday and it’s still ongoing. ??‍♀️ Been sipping Pedialyte and taking Pepto Bismol.

Title: Disappointing Experience Highlighting Unfair Treatment

I recently visited the oyster bar, eager to enjoy some oysters, only to be informed they were unavailable. However, shortly after a white couple arrived, oysters suddenly appeared at their table. It felt like the staff prioritized them over other customers, and I couldn’t help but notice the disparity in service.

The atmosphere was frustrating, as the staff seemed more focused on socializing than attending to patrons. This experience raised concerns about potential biases in how customers are treated based on race. I left feeling disappointed and unwelcome.

I hope the management addresses these issues to ensure a more equitable experience for all customers.

The bartender was a little rude it made me so uncomfortable. I had to switch from the bar to a table just to enjoy my food and drinks.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I walked in and sat down at the bar, which had just opened, patiently waiting for the staff to settle in. Despite my wait, no one acknowledged my presence. I was ignored entirely.

Then, another person—a white woman—walked in after me, and she was immediately greeted, offered water, and handed a menu. All while I was still sitting there without so much as a hello.

I expect to be treated with the same respect as any other customer, and unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience. I hope this feedback encourages the staff to reflect on how they treat every guest who walks through their doors.

I don’t even leave reviews, but the service was so bad lol. We were there two hours and maybe got a waiter to our table twice. Food was subpar, drinks were okay. Save your time and go somewhere else.

The waitstaff was rude and rushed me to order but the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, went for the happy hour but there’s no “deals” all same menu price :( I got the pineapple martini and it was good but again sad there was no legitimate happy hour for the drinks
