The staff are very nice, and the lady who greeted me had great energy.
I tried their spicy chicken ramen dish and was disappointed by how sickly sweet it was instead of savory. It reminded me of store bought sweet and sour sauce. There was no reason to anticipate this flavor profile, and while the taste wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t pleasant either, and it left me feeling heavy in the way corn syrup foods often do.
I would not recommend this place for ramen (especially at this price point) and my friend’s advice echoes in my mind every time I relearn this lesson- never expect decent ramen from a place that does not specialize in ramen.

I had the coconut curry pho. It was a delicious noodle soup that hit the spot! With a 20% tip, it was about $23. It was definitely pricey but I saw a sign that they provide free meals to children on Mondays. Reading the reviews, I know people were definitely using this offering. If some of my payment went to feeding a child in my community, I was happy to spend it.
Thank you UrbanBelly for taking care of the families in Wicker Park.

Food was just okay.
I have been a long-time fan of UrbanBelly, but I was going to come in today, but I saw yet another price hike on the menu. Its disappointing, as I would come more often if you kept the prices reasonable. 15-17-19 for the same noodles, chicken, and broth.

Slurpy noodles and dumplings with bright, modern flavors.

The Korean chicken and the pho in coconut broth were really good, and our kids really enjoyed their kids meals, which is one of draws for us. The staff was also very friendly. Would return.

It's like a fast casual for pan asian- but everything I've had there is so bland and unloved
I had an amazing spicy chicken katzu ramen. It was sweet flavor full and spicy. The service is always good. You pay and order at the entrance or scan the QR code at your seat. The rest room is easy to find.

The food here is so yummy. I've gotten take out here only. Fried chicken with the gochujang sauce, Coconut pho, lemongrass udon, beef udon, chicken katsu udon are SO GOOD. You really can't go wrong. My favorite dumplings are the lemongrass chicken*** and the beef. I would pass on the edamame one in the future. But overall such a good find. Love it!

I love this place, but don’t get the HiFi chicken sandwich. Might be one of the dumbest sandwiches I’ve ever ordered. It’s 6 basic chicken tenders with a little bit of coleslaw and a tiny order of fries. You pick up the sandwich and everything falls out. It’s like it was designed by someone who’s never eaten a sandwich before.. Anyway, still really like this place, but figured I’d warn anyone else that might want to try something new here.
