I can’t support a business that is openly cruel to other beings. Beautiful Koi are being kept in inhumane conditions. It would be so easy to send them to a sanctuary. Conscious humans don’t want to see imprisoned creatures, anyway. They will continue to lose customers over this. It speaks volumes about how they really feel about other beings and makes one wonder what else might be going on in the kitchen - out of the customers view.

Why are you keeping koi in a tank? They belong in a pond. I wanted to try your restaurant but as a vegan, I cannot support this. It isn’t right. How can you be a vegetarian restaurant and still keep these fish captive? Please relinquish them.

I enjoyed the tamale I had, but I would have enjoyed it much more if I hadn't lost my appetite at huge koi fish being kept in a tiny enclosure in the front of the store. The fish couldn't swim at all. The owners have been contacted to give the fish to sanctuaries and they refuse to comply.

I would love to say that this place is wonderful, but they have koi fish in the restaurant which are kept in horribly inadequate conditions. I wish the owner would consider relinquishing them to someone with a very large outdoor pond. They are in a 100 gallon tank, they should be in a 2000 gallon pond. Keeping koi like this is like keeping dolphins in a swimming pool.

I got the Caribbean Stew (w/seitan) and Hawaiian Super Shake. The stew was delicious! The shake was alright.

I visited the branch on Damen! German was kind enough to make me a peanut oat smoothie! It was delicious and hit the spot!!! Highly recommend this spot for a snack to fill your belly and lift your spirits!

Great juices and was able to order online. It was ready when I got there. Very clean environment. Love the ambiance, just healthy. I was able to order and take it to a patient at the hospital down the street.
