Viany's Pizzeria, a casual eatery offering a diverse menu of deep dish and other pizzas alongside Mexican selections, unfortunately left much to be desired during my recent visit. While the concept of combining these popular cuisines is appealing on paper, the execution, particularly regarding value, proved to be a significant drawback.
The primary issue encountered was the disappointing disconnect between the portion sizes and their respective costs. This was particularly evident with the pasta dishes, where the serving felt notably meager for the price tag attached. Whether it was the pizzas, the Mexican offerings, or especially the pasta, the amount of food received consistently felt insufficient, leaving a distinct feeling of being overcharged. It’s challenging to appreciate the flavors when you feel the value proposition is so fundamentally imbalanced across the menu.
Beyond the portion and cost concerns, the overall dining experience at Viany's Pizzeria simply didn’t meet expectations. It wasn't necessarily a terrible experience, but rather one that lacked any notable positive elements that would warrant a return visit. The atmosphere, service, and food quality, while not overtly poor, consistently hovered around mediocre. This combination of underwhelming portions for the price – most notably with the pasta – and a generally uninspired visit makes it difficult to recommend Viany's Pizzeria for those seeking both satisfaction and fair value.

Pizza was just ok. You would think with pizzeria in the name, that would be the focus. It is actually a Mexican restaurant with pizza on the menu. Not what I expected. I wasn't expecting a frozen pizza experience.

Got the chorizo pizza. It was awesome! I got the birriria ramen, too. I will definitely order again.

42 bucks for a pizza pickup they didn't even cut it like it's supposed to be cut in Chicago. They charged my card more than they told me it would cost over the phone. I'm never coming back here. I hope the next restaurant is better after they close this dump

Just called for an order. An Italian Burger should not cost $15. Menu shows $12.50. I was told price is subject to change. Pucci's had it for $8.50 with fries. Last time I ordered they put it on a regular bun and not on garlic bread. I was told I would get a discount on my next order. They didn't have it on file. Canceled my order.

We are working in the area and stopped by three days in a row and each time the pizza has been great. Went with deep dish today and it was great.

The sauce is SIMPLY TOO SWEET. They add sugar and kill you with basil. If you don't like basil avoid this pizza.

Artisinal pizza gem of the Southeast!
BYOB spot, ample parking, and fabulous service. The staff were excellent and so was the food. We got a chicken alfredo-chorizo pizza, and the transition from the alfredo side to the marinara side was seamless. The crumb texture of the dough had a fabulous snap and chew that held all the toppings together, and there was an ample amount of those. The pizza puffs were phenomenal, a Chicago staple. Do not miss this place!! We will be coming back with our friends and bringing more folks in the future! Viany's deserves a Michelin Star for that pizza. You don't need to travel north to get good pizza. North side pizza who??? Viany's has knocked off southside pizza joints in my heart. Cannot wait to have another chicken alfredo pizza again. Seriously. 5 stars!

First time ordering from this place.
I order for pickup a medium deep dish mushroom and spinach which they were hard to find the extra ingredients, lots of not very good cheese, the red sauce was sweet and not very much, the crust not what I’m used to have in other well established pizza places. I will try thin crust next time and see what happens
